Big Dumb Loot Council is an addon that helps to assist loot councils in gathering item interest, comparing upgrades, and voting on who get's loot. I wrote this addon because the other options are either broken, missing features, or far too feature heavy. This is a lightweight low footprint replacement.

Usage
Simply loot a boss in a raid to use the addon.

/bdlc test - test the addon
/bdlc config - set the minimum rank to be a part of the loot council, set custom council members, and create custom quick-notes
/bdlc version - check the raid's bdlc versions
/bdlc start [itemlink] - Start a session for that item
/bdlc addtolc [playername] - Adds the player to the LC (no brackets)
/bdlc show /bdlc hide - show or hide the window

Features
Upon looting a boss, all raid members with the addon installed receive roll windows for each item to designate their interest (Mainspec, minor up, offspec, reroll, xmog, pass)
Members of the loot council see a window that shows who's still considering loot, and which members have rolled.
The loot council can view the player's other items for comparison and vote on who should receive the piece.

Localization HELP
There is a localizations.lua file for localizing other languages. If you'd like to help localize to this run on your client, simply edit the file or submit your changes to the comments section.

I've only a doubt about the artifact relic string. In English we have 'element "Artifact Relic"' and telling to scan "artifact relic" is fine since the artifact element is before.
In the Italian tooltip we have "Reliquia" 'element' "dell'Artefatto" and I don't know if can be used the string "Reliquia dell'Artefatto" since the element is between the word "Reliquia" and "dell'Artefatto" (eg 'Life Artifact Relic' is 'Reliquia Vita dell'Artefatto', 'Fire Artifact Relic' is 'Reliquia Fuoco dell'Artefatto' etc.) or, if the element between the two words can be a problem, is a better idea to use only "dell'Artefatto" since this suffix appear only on the artifact relic tooltip and in few other items that cannot drop in raid (artifact knowledge item that can be purchased only in the class hall).

Edit: After testing some stuff in game seems that the string in the Highlight is the right one.

Hi, me and some friends are using your addon along with our guildmates, but the ones with Italian wow client can't see tier tokens and artifact relic on the loot window.

enchanter

seems to have a problem finding enchanters. Works fine when I test but when I loot a boss nothing. Love the ilvl on the gear now.

This is a new issue with 7.1.5, something with blizzard's item queue database. Will try and have a fix out tonight, but in the mean time you can stop all sessions and start them for a 2nd time to fix it.

Upon looting the boss not everyone is seeing the loot available and/or it's not showing everyone in the LC window what they wanted. Making it hard to figure out what people need when its not actually showing everything people want.

Hey,

was able to find the error. At some point during development blizzard changed the name of the wind relic into storm. Internally api's still return wind but on all things visible to the user (say tooltips) it was renamed to storm.

In functions.lua GetRelicType extracts the relicname from the tooltip which returns storm and later on in GetRelics you get the relictype from C_ArtifactUI.GetRelicSlotType which returns wind.

Just for me i modified the GetRelicType function to rename storm into wind. No idea if this would work for non english clients.

Hello,

thanks for your work on this addon.

If a guild has ranks but no member holding the rank opening the config window will prompt lua errors since the list of all ranks will contain nil values.

line 171 in config.lua (item.label:SetText(i..": "..items[i])

"Actual" error happens in
for i =1, numGuildMembers do
local name, rank, rankIndex, _, class = GetGuildRosterInfo(i)
listOfRanks[rankIndex] = rank
end
Guess because lua sees actual numbers used as the index and fills them with nil values.

If you wanna reproduce it have/create a rank that no member in the guild holds.

Little feature request: In the loot council window where all the raiders are listed with their need votes you have the column "Current Gear" that currently displays the icon of the item equipped.
It would be nice if you would have say a +10 displayed if that would represent a 10 item level upgrade for that player.

Not to mention player attendance, tenure, and skill. The idea is that this gives the loot council the information necessary to make these kinds of decisions on their own, but there are too many factors for it to accurately give good loot recommendations.
Oh totally! I meant in a separate sheet maintained by the guild itself. They'd have to maintain a separate lua filled with class/spec/stats, but I guess that would mostly be an added, complex optional.

when a boss dies and the loot window comes up everyone with this addon gets chat spammed with "no player named ___ is currently playing" any fix? seems like it only spams names of people from other servers.
