SixUI  Updated Today!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 8.0.0
by: Sixthly [More]

The goal of SixUI is to provide a clean, uniform design across all of the included AddOns. It uses pixel perfect borders at every UI scale and screen size. The included layout is oriented towards healing, with the main focal point during raid combat being the lower central area of the screen. Low priority information such as the Chat, Minimap and Skada are out of the way in order to reduce distraction and maximize visibility of the raid environment.

Instructions

  1. Close World of Warcraft.
  2. Delete the “Interface” folder from your World of Warcraft installation.
  3. Extract all folders from SixUI into your World of Warcraft installation.
  4. When you first log into a character, click the “Reload UI” button when prompted.

By default, SixUI will position everything into my preferred layout. To turn this off, disable the “SixUI Layout” AddOn and then reload your UI. Warning: By doing this everything will be out of position, and you’ll need to go through each individual AddOn’s settings to choose new positioning.
How do move the SixUI’s Chat Frame, Minimap, or any other frame created by SixUI?
Type “/move” to open MoveAnything, and then look for the “SixUI” and “SixUI: Integration” categories: https://sixthly.net/u/f0eb3c.png
How do I turn off sounds for new whispers and guild messages?
Disable “Chat Sounds” from the Settings menu on the Minimap.
How do I turn off SixUI’s borders on WeakAuras?
Disable “Integration WeakAuras” from the Settings menu on the Minimap.
How do I see buff duration text?
Hold down the <Ctrl> key to see buff duration text. Alternatively, disable “Buff Bars” from the Settings menu on the Minimap.

try typing /move and under SixUI you should see Display Group 1 this will move the small data text windows attached to the chat window.

Also, I've tried to move the objectives window using move anything but it doesn't seem to work, I've looked the in the Sixui layout .lua and it doesn't seem to be affected by that.

xCT+ was added back, and several AddOns were updated. Once all AddOns have been updated then this will be in the notes for SixUI version 8.0.1.

I'm not planning to change to Details at this time because I like how light-weight Skada is, and anything more in-depth is crossing Warcraft Logs territory.

Hiding nameplate castbar text was a design decision, although it's something I'd like to explore in the future. In the mean time, if it's important to you then I recommend disabling the "Integration Nameplates" module from the Settings menu on the Minimap.

I've heard this before but I've never been able to recreate it. Are you able to walk me through how you're opening the PvP window (e.g. are you pressing "I" or are you using the Minimap) and anything special you're doing before clicking on the Join Battle button?

I have just removed xCT+ until I can find a replacement for BfA, as it appears to have been abandoned. In the meantime none are included, and you'll have to find your own.

Just to let folks know - SixUI basically works "out of the box" with 8.0. I needed to update Dominos (beta build at the moment on Curse) and then Blizzard bars went away. I'd also updated Shadowed Unit Frames, but everything is working well otherwise.

There's minor positional issues (character, AH, etc) come up overlapping the chat box, but those are easy enough to resolve by moving things as needed.

Well done Sixthly!

You're welcome! And yes, I plan to continue maintaining SixUI. In fact, I've been using it on the beta to ensure everything is smooth for the pre-patch.
This is great to hear. I really enjoy this UI. How can we support you?
