Installing Telnets’ UI Pack 1 or 2!
This is an ART PACK. It is NOT a stand alone Warcraft add-on. In order to use this you MUST also download a small add-on called “BTex” as well. BTex will enable you to display the art contained in either of my Art Packs and use them as a backdrop for your action bars.
Installation Instructions:
- Download/Install Btex with the Curse Add-on Manager (If you’re familiar with WoW add-ons, you can download it manually and pop it into your add-ons directory) You will now have a directory called /btex/ in your /warcraft/interface/addons/
- Download either TelnetsUI or TelnetsUI2 MANUALY... As in NOT through any sort of add-on manager. Save the .ZIP file to your computer.
- Open the Zip file with Winzip or WinRAR. In there, you will see a directory named "artwork" and within it, number of files with the extension of .TGA These TGA files are the backgrounds, so extract ALL the .TGA files from my ZIP into /warcraft/interface/addons/btex/skins/.
- Load up Warcraft, and ensure the BTex add-on is enabled (you may have to also select “load out of date add-ons” at the top if its grey’d out)
- Once your in the game, type “/btex custom” in your chat box (without the quotations). The Btex configuration window will pop up
- Were it says “Set Name:”, type in the EXACT name of one of the texture sets you want to use as a backdrop for your action bars and press enter. (Yes, caps, punctuation and spelling is IMPORTANT). You can find a list of texture set names at the end of these instructions
- If the textures were placed in the warcraft/interface/addons/btex/skins/ directory and you typed in the name properly, you will now see the texture at the bottom of your screen. If it looks out of scale or out of place, don’t panic
- You may have to play around with the scale and placement options to make the texture fit your screen and game resolution properly. For example, I run a 24” monitor with a game resolution of 1920x1080. I need to change my scale setting to “Set Height: 240” and “Set Width: 480” from the default 256 and 512. So adjust them until it works for you.
- That’s it! If you want to change textures, just change the name you typed in with the name of another texture set, and adjust it as necessary
- If the above did not work, 99.9% chance you did something wrong, or missed a step :) Re-Read these steps carefuly and if your ABSOLUTLY stuck, email me and ill help out :)
Valid Skin names for BTex Options are as follows (Type Exactly)
If you installed TelnetsUI1, the following artwork is named as follows:
DarkUI
NexusUI
SFKeepUI
ZulDrakUI
If you installed TelnetsUI2, the following artwork is named as follows:
SlimUIDark
SlimUIRed
SlimUISkull
SlimUITiny1
SlimUITiny2
Thanks to those who enjoy the artwork, and have sent me comments! I know its been a LONG time since my last Artwork pack, but I have had a lot of real life stuff happen and took a 1.5 year break from the game. This new artpack is for those who enjoy a slimmer style UI but still have a little flare as well.
Hope you all enjoy, and if you have any questions you can reach me at www.telnets.org

PS: This is JUST an art pack, it wont re-arrange your buttons, or move your map somewhere else. If you want a list of Add-ons I use for my UI configuration, please see the file "Moreinfo.html" for that info. Thanks!
