A display platform for LibDataBroker (LDB) based plug-ins. The display is provided through panels, each having sections (Left, Center, Right) corresponding with how a plugin is justified within it.
All plugins are disabled by default and you must turn on the ones you want to use. This is to avoid the complete mess that results from all plugins being on with the first use. The only plugin on at the start is the one provided by this addon to access its options easily. Just click it to start changing settings.
With plugins unlocked you can drag and drop them to other panels/sections and have them automatically adjust to their new location. There are no limitations on the drag and drop capabilities other than the new location for a plugin must be within a panel. You may also change the location of a plugin through the plugin options menu.
Almost all sub-sections of settings have a default option. The defaults follow a set pattern. First plugins check their settings, if default, they next go to their panel's settings. If the panel is also set to default then it defers to the addon's global settings. Finally, if the global settings are still set to default, then the hard coded defaults are used.
Note: It is recommended that you delete the folder(s) for an existing addon when updating to a different version. This is to keep files that are no longer used from taking up space.
Translators: To submit a translation please just edit existing files (example: DockingStation\Locales\deDE.lua and DockingStation_Config\Locales\deDE.lua) and send them to me.

Something strange happened to me yesterday after I've installed v0.2.20:
In the list of plugins I'm seeing addons I've whiped ages ago (eg. Broker_HitCrit). They are greyed out, but they are present. That alone wouldn't be so bad, but unfortunately I'm missing addons in the listing I've acutally installed and loaded (eg. oRA3). Any idea what's happening there? PS: Didn't check if the same happens with v0.2.21. |

I haven't tried today's version yet (though the changelog says nothing about tooltips) but I also am having problems with the tooltips disappearing occasionally.
I have my DockingStation bar placed on my Dash. Randomly (happened just once last night) my tooltips will disappear, though I don't know what I was doing before it occured. At least by the time I noticed it last night (I do not have tips anchored to cursor) I couldn't remember having had my Dash open right before. But there were no tooltips showing on screen for units or objects (not on my Dash either, nor around DockingStation). I showed my Dash, hovered over a plugin in DockingStation to get a tooltip to appear. After that, tooltips were back to normal. DockingStation 0.2.20 (Beta) tooltip mod: TipTop (modified default GameTooltip)

I love you.
Just a quick note, I have been using docking station ever since I switched over from FuBar, I have tried others and NONE of them provide the same amount of flexibility, aesthetic customization and a low memory footprint that Docking Station does. Thank you!

As in, the option panel is there, but there are simply no options to select from. |

Hi,
I have been using this for a while to display my informational LDB addons, and I've just updated it. Since I have updated, I no longer have anyway to config this addon - it does not show up in my Blizzard addon tab, and I cannot get ButtonBin to recognise it either. (I also use ButtonBin to display my 'config' type buttons, and I was using ButtonBin to display the icon for DockingStation.) I have a couple of new LDB's that I want to display using Docking station, but am unable to figure out how to bring the config menu back. I have redownloaded and reinstalled both DockingStation and ButtonBin. I got an error message after I first updated it, but did not record it. I did not get any errors after reinstalling it, and now I cannot get the message to appear again. DockingStation is working - I can see the plugins that I had previous to the upgrade, but can make no changes at all. Any help to get this working greatly appreciated. |

I've noticed the same issue with font sizing, seems the properties are not saving or applying correctly.
I'm also getting LibJostle error messages every few minutes. [2009/04/21 22:35:28-4284-x70]: LibJostle-3.0-90043 (DockingStation):458: attempt to index global 'QuestTimerFrame' (a nil value) LibJostle-3.0-90043 (DockingStation):130: in function <...terface\AddOns\DockingStation\Libs\LibJostle-3.0.lua:128> |

With latest version the font selected for the panel doesn't seem to apply after relogging. Ie when you set it manually through the options, it will apply, but if you log out and back again then it does not.

I absolutely freakin' love this LDB display. Really, really great work. Without question, my favorite feature is that plugins are DISABLED by default. Nothing more annoying than a mess of plugins after a savedvariables wipe!
Thanks for all of your hard work on this addon, Vrul! |
