Auracle provides compact, customizable filtering and monitoring of buffs and debuffs.
Overview
Auracle's capabilities are organized roughly into "trackers", "windows" and "styles".
The most important of these is the "tracker", each of which can monitor a list of multiple auras (either buffs or debuffs, but not both at the same time). When any of those (de)buffs are found, the tracker lights up (or changes visually in any number of other interesting and configurable ways).
A "window" is just a collection of trackers that all watch the same unit. On a fresh installation, Auracle provides one window that watches "target", so any trackers in that window will activate according to the (de)buffs on your current target. You can create as many windows as you want, and each one can watch any unit you want (player, pet, focus, etc).
The visual aspects of windows and trackers are controlled by "styles". There is always a "Default" style (one each for windows and trackers), and you can create as many additional styles as you want.
Distribution & Translation
Please note that Auracle is kept current by the author on wowace.com, curse.com and wowinterface.com. If you get it from any other source, you are not guaranteed to get the latest version.
If you would like to help translate Auracle into other languages, please use the WoWAce Localization tool.
Getting Started
Since every role, class, spec and player will be interested in monitoring different (de)buffs, Auracle does not provide any trackers by default. The first thing you'll want to do, then, is add one.
To do this, open Auracle's configuration window, either with the chat command "/auracle" or from Interface Options->AddOns->Auracle. Select the "windows" tab to see your windows (you'll start with one, "Target") and their trackers (none yet). Select the light blue "(Add Tracker...)" option and click the button to add a new blank tracker to the window.
Click the new tracker, and then open its "Auras" tab. Set the type to "buffs" or "debuffs" according to what you want to monitor, and then type the names of as many auras as you want, one per line. Now, whenever your target has any of these (de)buffs applied, this tracker will light up and show the time remaining.
Configuration Ideas
Auracle is highly configurable; there are a great many ways you can set it up to display information however you want. Some ideas:

I like this mod!
One question though. Is there some way to track my Focus Magic buff. I only target the player to cast it, so it doesn't fall into any of Auracle's default watch categories. I currently use Dotimer to watch it, but it's over kill for just that one buff. Thanks. |

Auracle's purpose is to give a more manageable view of the set of debuffs on a specific unit, which it does by scanning that one unit's auras and processing them. Focus Magic is in a category of buffs with Earthshield, Beacon of Light, etc which people want to see in one place no matter who they cast it on, and separate from the (de)buffs of their current target/focus/whatever. So keeping track of that means watching for when you cast the spell and remembering who it was cast on and when. It's a different kind of functionality, and beyond Auracle's scope at the moment. Dotimer or quartz or elkano's addons are probably better suited for that. |

Weapon Procs
Is there a reason that it doesn't track weapon procs, or am i not setting up properly? I'm trying to track UnHoly Strength on my DK, along with Meteroite Whetstone and Mirror of Truth...
Regards. |

Re: Weapon Procs
It might be possible to add support for weapon procs; I'll put it on the list to look into. |

Just so you know:
they're changing UnitAura calls in 3.1 to return "caster" (unitID, the real owner of an effect, like you're the owner of your Malygos Drake fire breath debuff) instead of "isMine". Also, UnitAura can return arena players tokens, can you add them as a valid unit to track its buffs/debuffs?

The best dotimer addon ever
This mod totally replaces dotimer for me as a affliction warlock. i have it set to show only my dots just above my target frame, much better control over watching dot refresh times. thank you! this is the mod ive been searching for forever.

Readyspells 2.0 or what? i love it, one request please. Possible to do rangechecking like readyspells did? Example:
have your DoTs shown even out of combat, and disappear if targeted unit is out of range, and appera if target is in range. Would be cool |

Druid Forms?
Would you be able to add a condition for the various druid forms so that a druid could show/hide certain windows depending on his or her form?
Debuffs available are different whether you're in cat form (form:3) or bear form (form:1). |
