ProcWatch  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 40300.9
by: Rilgamon [More]

ProcWatch is a tool to help you to visualize your spells/buffs/debuffs/procs.
This addon is a rewrite of WdLW (Woge des Lichts Watch).

Spells are displayed by whitelists or blacklists. Sorted by
configurable priority or by time left.

There are 4 types of indicators

Buff/Debuff

  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when active
  • you can cancel buffs with rightmouse
  • warning when not active
Proc
  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when active
  • you can cancel procs with rightmouse
Weaponenchant (Poison/stones/fishing/whatever)
  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when active
  • you can cancel enchant with rightmouse
  • warning when not active
SpellCD
  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when cooldown is ready
  • when a spellCD is static (always visible) it's an actionbutton and
you can click it to cast the spell.

ProcWatch supports ButtonFacade & LibSharedMedia for better looking spellbars (check Screenshots)

Addon Loader

The current version supports Addon Loader.
Addon Loader is a load manager, which can speed up the addon loading process.

Faq

Q 1: Blacklist and whitelist is empty. Where are my spells?
A 1: ProcWatch learns your spells/buffs/debuffs/procs when they are
active on your focus/target/character.

Q 2: Does ProcWatch know the spells of my class ?
A 2: ProcWatch is stupid. You have to teach it. (See A 1)

Q 3: I want to see spellCD-Button only when it's ready.
A 3: This would allow automated play. Thats why you have to decide
if you want to see it all the time or not at all.

That would require a complete rewrite. And I dont think I've enough time for
this for the next months ... sorry.

I downloaded this for my shaman, and I'm almost pleased because this is really what I need.

However, I'm running into an issue. There are three procs I want to watch out for, two in resto spec, and the problem is that the procs I'm watching for share the same name, Energized. One proc is from Totem of the Surging Seas, the other from Solace of the Fallen. When I cast Riptide, either the proc for the totem or the trinket show, but not both, when I cast another healing spell the trinket proc shows, but not the totem one. They sit on top of the other one.

If there was a way to fix this or make a spell ID dependent one, I'd really appreciate it.

Re: range indicator / invalid target indicator

Yes, its my own code for the rangecheck. It was implemented in a
quick and dirty way and I planned to rewrite it when I have time ...
but as you can see the last update and all the stuff mentioned here
in the comments is quite old

RL is not nice to me and my free time...

I really like your idea to have a switch to enable/disable the rangecheck for
certain spells. This way I dont need a database of targetless spells that cant be
out of range. But dont expect it to be available anytime soon.

Post range indicator / invalid target indicator

Does ProcWatch have its own range or invalid target indicator?

Some of the buttons are colored red, and some are not.

The color indicator is "ok" for some spells (altough it doesnt quite behave like bartender). For targetless spells though, like Inner Focus, Prayer of Healing, or Hymn of Hope, they stay red constantly.

Is there a "quick fix" to this? Like have a checkbox to disable range or invalid target indicator for some buttons, indepently of their "nature" (spellCD, buff, debuff).

BTW, this is an AWESOME mod, i had been tinkering with 3 mods to get what i wanted and replaced them with this one.

Hope i'm being sufficiently clear in my explanation!

Indeed! But I would have at least liked to have the same setup for all of my characters (same scale, UI position, display settings, etc).

The settings are stored per char because every char is played differently.
Some do raids, some just go 5mans others just quest. So you see
the normal behaviour

In the settings you can en-/disable moving. After its activated you can use
alt+click on the green mover.

I ran into a problem with allowing other spells than your own. I'm atm fighting
with getting it to work and probably will allow more than one bar ... but since
I have a new char that I love to quest with not sure how long it will take until the next version will be available

So right now, no there is no way for different groups or rows.

Took a little longer. Just to let you know I've changed the code
so the watched units are configurable.
And to reduce the impact on ressources you'll get some options
to disable things on a per watched unit setting.

Before I upload this version I'd like to run a few raids for testing

So at least delayed until next monday.

ATM it watches focus, target and player and if one of the three has a buff
it is shown and you have to "feel" who has the buff. This is a problem
I'd like to solve but still unsure how. Adding it now would just increase
the problem.

But making the watched units configurable could help because not
everyone needs the same and has his own things he wants to know.

So I think your idea is good ... but I've started to work two days ago in a new job so that I just have three days in a week instead of seven

But tomorrow I'll look if I can make this change in an easy way without
having to rewrite big parts
