LumUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.04
by: neverg [More]

About

lumUI is a UI Compilation created having in mind utility within an attractive look focused on information. The main element of the UI is my oUF layout, oUF_lumen. This UI is full featured yet keeping it simple and easy to install without needing to configure lots of addons.

Installation & Instructions

1. Backup your Fonts folder (if you have it), Interface and WTF folder.
2.Unzip the archive into the World of Warcraft _retail_ folder. Not the Addons folder, the World of Warcraft _retail_ Folder. This is because inside the archive you will find a Fonts folder and an Interface folder.
3. That's it, there is no WTF because it's not needed by any addon needing configuration (at least important ones).
4. Refer to the individual addons if you need help configuring them. Most of the addons in this pack are configured through Lua editing so they might not be fitted for some users.
5. This UI works out of the package. You might only need to move some elements of the frames around.
6. If you need to override any default options please do so on `config.lua`. Go to LumUI and oUF_Lumen default config files (`defaults.lua`) to see the available options and override your settings on the `config.lua` file (save this file between updates, both for LumUI and OUF_Lumen).
7.In config.lua (LumUI and oUF_Lumen) there is an example to use a more compact centered layout (https://i.imgur.com/b7PG5va.jpg), uncomment the comments files to achieve that layout. Since version 9 LumUI uses a more wide layout with the Action Bars following the layout used by Blizzard default action bars. If you uncomment those files, please disable, reload and re-enable LumUI so the layout resets.

Addons

Keeping addons to a minimum from now on. You can supplement the UI with other addons of your choice.

  • LumUI
  • oUF_Lumen (Unit Frames)
  • Butsu
  • tullaRange

Notes

* There is a price to pay for a UI with a low need of config and simplicity... most of the stuff is edited in the lua files. Especially all addons that begin with lum (my own) are almost all edited through lua. Open the lua files in the beginning of the files there are lots of configs to tweak stuff.

  • Removed ncBindings addon.
  • Added ncHoverBind addon.
  • Removed nivBuffs addon.
  • Added lumBuffs. Since it only styles the buffs/debuffs it doesn't need to use secureheaders and therefore buffs are right clickable in combat.

Already done actually (the spec, not the iLevel, but good idea).
I just haven't released it yet since I need to change some other stuff yet.

If you are eager to get it, Download the repo from GitHub and override the LumUI addon.

You want something like this:

Lua Code:
  1. local debuffs = auras:CreateAura(self, 16, 4, cfg.frames.secondary.height + 10, 2)
  2.   debuffs:SetPoint("BOTTOMLEFT", self, "TOPLEFT", 0, 8)
  3.   debuffs.initialAnchor = "BOTTOMLEFT"
  4.   debuffs["growth-x"] = "RIGHT"
  5.   debuffs.showStealableBuffs = true
  6.   debuffs.PostUpdateIcon = PostUpdateIcon
  7.   self.Debuffs = debuffs

The CreateAura argument, the 2nd argument represents the number of buffs/debuffs you want to show and the second argument the number of rows. So if you want to spawn 4 rows, put 4. Then it depends on how much each icon takes, play with the values.

The stun thing show still show up, I didn't remove any of that.

Debuffs on target are used for the BarTimers. You will have to disable that in order to add them using just the icons, like for the buffs.
It means changing the layout quite a bit. Again, at that point you might ask yourself if you are not better using something like ElvUI or similar.

To make it grow upwards, like I said, you need to change it to Y.

Like this:

Lua Code:
  1. -- BarTimers Auras
  2.   local barTimers = auras:CreateBarTimer(self, 12, 12, 24, 2)
  3.   barTimers:SetPoint("BOTTOMLEFT", self, "TOPLEFT", -2, cfg.frames.secondary.height + 16)
  4.   barTimers.initialAnchor = "BOTTOMLEFT"
  5.   barTimers["growth-y"] = "UP"
  6.   barTimers.CustomFilter = TargetCustomFilter
  7.   barTimers.PostUpdateIcon = PostUpdateBarTimer
  8.   self.Debuffs = barTimers
  9. end

Debuffs are being handled by barTimers, if you don't want to have the barTimers, you can remove that and follow the same logic used for the Buffs, should work the same.

By the way, this don't follow Blizzard options at all... This is a complete separate module from Blizzard, no point trying using the Blizzard options.

If by debuffs you mean the dubuffs shown as bars, yes you need to add the buffs / debuffs PER CLASS in the filters.lua file.
I hate ElvUI, i found your interface more comfortable for me but im trying to get it so much possible comfortable for me.

Tried your code it still wont work for me. Im trying to get blizz like buffs\debuffs on target. Something like on pic 3.
And is there any way to move cast bar of target ?

and why this think wont show up anymore ?

Sorry for asking that many questions but i really like your UI and i don't know who else should i ask for help.

Hey mate,

I don't mind answering your questions, but if you have trouble with stuff like that maybe it is better to go to a addon where customization is easier? There are plenty that have all sort of options available.
Because if you are customizing it that much in the end is not really the same layout anymore, is it?
And custom support to customize it heavily is kinda not my point with the layout.

Anyway, I guess you mean buffs in that case? Anyway it is similar.

In the target.lua file find this:

Lua Code:
  1. -- Buffs
  2.   local buffs = auras:CreateAura(self, 8, 1, cfg.frames.secondary.height + 4, 2)
  3.   buffs:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", self, "BOTTOMLEFT", 0, 2)
  4.   buffs.initialAnchor = "BOTTOMLEFT"
  5.   buffs["growth-x"] = "RIGHT"
  6.   buffs.showStealableBuffs = true
  7.   buffs.PostUpdateIcon = PostUpdateIcon
  8.   self.Buffs = buffs

You have a growth-x. you can also add a growth-y one, play with the directions.

And one more. I cant see some debuffs on target, it means i need to add them in debuffs file ? Debuff like (Toxic Blade) or even poisson's on target. And Lose Control doesnt work (i mean if some one control you with stuns or something like that it doesn show up on the screen)

Edit:
If you want to add Blade Flurry (Rogue) add this to filters.lua in oUF_Lumen/config:
Code:
[GetSpellInfo(13877) or "Blade Flurry"] = true,
If you could add that in the release, that'd be great.
Will do. I actually play a Rogue, forgot about that one.
Any filter that makes sense by default I will add.

This is the proper way to add any aura to the player frame, right? Does this works with target as well?
It is. But the way it works is, in the filters.lua file, per class you can add Buffs or Debuffs. Debuffs appear on top of the target frame while buffs appear for you, the player frame.
There is another file that blacklists debuffs that show up to the left of the player frame.

https://github.com/greven/oUF_Lumen/...ig/debuffs.lua

Buffs on the target just show underneat the target frame. There is no filtering applied there.
