Plater Nameplates  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v8.2.5.278
by: Tercioo [More]

Plater is a handsome and light addon for nameplates!

Plater and Details! are made by the same author!

Features:
- New nameplates for friendly characters.
- Unlock configs to modify the new personal health bar/power bar in the middle of the screen.
- Allows to change the size of the resource indicators such as the runes for Death Knights.
- Indicates when a npc is an objetive of a quest.
- Highlight detector npcs inside Suramar city.
- Color change by aggro and by player role (tank or dps).
- Dynamic sizing allowing to have two sets of size, one for combat and other out of combat.
- Allows full modification of textures.
- Allows to modify the clickable area of the plate.
- Unlock separate config for each type of unit: Friendly Player, Enemy Player, Friendly Npc, Enemy Npc.
- Show your buffs and debuffs, allowing to black list some of them.

Important: by default the health bar of enemy nameplates has a height 2 pixel when out of combat, but do not be fooled by that, each nameplate has by default 45 pixels of clickable area (vertical) and both the health bar and the clickable area can be modified.

Hello,

Thanks for all your work on this addon. I tried installing and I am getting 2 consistent errors. I deleted the WTF folder and everything but Plater from the Addons folder and I still get the errors.

Please excuse wall o' text.

Just a small thing but I am sure you want to fix all of it there seems to be a typo on your text for profiles

Any chance to build in a font scaling for cooldown timers on debuffs? I would love to shrink the timers so they don't take up the entire icon. If you can't add it, OmniCC works in a pinch

Also the frame scaling of the settings window has an odd behavior.

As shown in this image, when you mouse over it a increment and decrement option shows ( - and +) but it covers the close window button. Perhaps just moving it over to the left will prevent those two buttons from overlapping the close button?

Any chance of also putting in a text description of what that is up top to make it clearer that it scales the window?

Hate to ask for more but could you also have the open plater options in the interface/addons/plater page?

That way if someone click profiles and it goes there you can click one up and go back to the options window in one click or if people automatically go there they will be able to open the options instead of having to only go to game/names (which is awesome that it is there by the way).

Edit: Love the new layout for options. So much smoother and simpler. Thank you!

There is no options in the GUI settings yet but you can run this then do a /reload

/run Plater.db.profile.culling_distance = 60;

Where 60 is a range from 0 to 100, put in what you think looks best
Thank you!

love the addon! I was wondering if there was an option to change the color of the enemy casts depending on whether they are interruptable or not? that'd be awesome!

Plz fix? ^^
That's bad, thanks for reporting.

What I mean is being able to set up like all classes big defensives or offensives in a larger icon so you know its there and its obvious when they do that. So maybe my disable might be small but when a rogue evasions i can make it bigger so it stands out.

Hope that makse sense

Oh didn't see the only damaged part Thanks!

There is a size multiplier for debuffs, should have more options?
I believe the cooldown number can be added with OmniCC, but i didn't tested.
The last one about full health, there is a checkbox on the main panel called "Only Damaged".

The bad thing is when you are out of combat it may reset to the original location if you exit then go back into combat. Now the setting will still show the numerical value you changed if you go back into settings.

The thing I think is happening is it does not let you save to config (the first time) unless out of combat. So to work around this, I found just to set the Y axis to your liking on a training dummy. Then exit combat and go back into settings and nudge the settings down or up one then back to your desired settings. This seems to fix the issue.
I couldn't reproduce this issue here. I was using mage though.
