PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.

  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

Added absorbbar below the health and incoming healbar. Color dark yellow. The absorb bar will show the health that will be absorbed. The absorb bar has the length of the current health + heal inc + absorb bar, up to the max health.

with the following settings "align frames to bottom" seems not to work :/



i get it running for party 1-8(raid) but not for "my party"
tried reloading the ui etc. nothing helps.

Yes, create a new frame, with ALL class filters, and the PARTY filter selected.

This update should fix the arena/frame not updating issue, please let me know if you continue to have the issue occur, or new ones appear.

Anyone having this problem?

No matter what I do, what settings I switch around the bars don't show up. When I check show border it just shows the beginning of an empty border....please help...I love this addon.

Re: Frame updating bug

Unfortunately, I have limited time at the moment, and my time is better spent moving the code to the new templates, which should fix the issue overall. The logic I'm using has to change, and it should become a bit more standard. I'm sorry its taking so long, but its not a small change, including a big change to the config UI. I'm working to get it resolved as soon as I can.

Frame updating bug

Hey Claidhaire,

Just wondering if you've had any luck tracking the health update bug down, and/or if there's anything I can do to help track it. It's the only element of praid that is deterring me from using it during PvP.

I was playing around with the code somewhat. I tried just calling an UpdateRaidFrames() during a PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD event and this seemed to clear everything up at the time, but it causes a noticeable lag (10-15s) on entering a BG and my machine isn't a slouch.

The one other thing I noticed is that at the start of the BG match I tested out the updating on each frame and it was good. Only midway through the BG I'd notice that some frames weren't updating. So to me it seems like it might have to do with death. Perhaps with the unit dying or perhaps with me dying. I haven't figured it out.

On a PvE basis, during a heroic mech run, using praid in a party, I noticed everything was updating just fine. Then we wiped. On everyone respawning at Cosmowrench, I noticed that the warlock's frame wasn't updating anymore.

Sometimes I can fix it by just going to the raid frame editor and just resaving it to force an update. But more often than not the only way to fix it is to do a /reloadui.

Anyway let me know if there's anything I can do. I'll probably play around a lil more with the code to see if I can figure out anything else. I'd really love to squash that bug. I'd use Praid exclusively if I could. I'm trying to move off of PitBull as a party/raid frame.

No, I can't and won't refactor the code to do conditional display for missing buffs. With localisation, I can't afford to do any more than that, it would just be unfeasible. The user would have to choose (I could supply icons for the built in defaults, but that would be it).

No, that's pretty much it. The user would have to choose the icon, which in my opinion would be extremely frustrating.

You'll see the buffs and debuffs you want to see. If there are more of the same type (Renew for example) or the buff has counters (Inner Fire) you'll see the number in the lower right and for debuffs you have a border in the color of the debuff. The image of the (de)buff itself can be directly taken from UnitBuff() / UnitDebuff() while scanning the unit's buffs.
Naturally this only works for showing buffs that are on the unit. In case of displaying missing buffs you don't have the texture name of the buff to display. Here you could either just use the buff boxes with text in it, cache the buff texture name as soon as it seen once and use it from now on (the important ones can also be hardcoded), let the player choose an icon like for macros or some combination of the above. Missing buffs could then be displayed darker or with a specially colored border.
I know how to code it, I've been doing this for quite some time. How does the user configure it. That's what I care about.
