OmniCC  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.2.5
by: jaliborc, Tuller

Overview
OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items, spell and abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they will be ready to use. In other words: it turns all the standard analogue cooldowns into digital ones.

Anything should work with OmniCC, from the action bars to the inventory, from the standard interface to your favorite add-on.

For some reason I'm unable to turn off tracking for target debuffs. "target_Debuffs" doesn't seem to work on the blacklist. Any ideas?

Filtering doesn't seem to do anything. I have 2-3 mods I don't want CCs displayed on (Pitbull 4.0 and whatever buff frame I'm using), but punching in everything on the frame stack related to those mods still doesn't stop CCs from showing up on the icons. CDs still show up even after /reload, relog, and restart.

Noticed it, but not limited to DK. It is something in handling of minimum font size. It would be hard to reproduce with combat effects, but with something nonharmful it's easier.
I've got it wil "Well Fed" buff: when counter is missing when it should really be there, I've opened settings, the minimum font size was 7. I've decreased until the counter appeared, then increased back to 7 - it stood still.

I seem to have a weird issue with the buff/debuff timer on the target frame on my Death Knight.

Every buff/debuff except the one in the first location will have a timer. The first buff or debuff I put on won't have one.

For example, if I apply blood plague first and then frost fever. Frost Fever will have a timer for the time remaining (as well as ebon plague) but Blood Plague won't. If I apply frost fever first then blood plague, blood plague will have a timer but frost fever won't so it's not spell specific. It just appears to be slot specific.

In the release version, you want to mess with the minimum font size slider.

In the beta version, you want to mess with the minimum font size slider, as well as the "enable cooldown text" settings for the group that shadowed belongs to (odds are, either Aura or Base)

It seems like latest ButtonFacade is not compatible with OmniCC. On all other chars that don't have action bar addons OmniCC works perfectly, but on the only char that uses ButtonFacade it doesn't.

Edit: Hm, it seems that it wasn't ButtonFacade issue after all. Now I've noticed the same behavior on a char that doesn't use any action bar or other fancy addon that modifies buttons. For my Northrend Wormhole Generator it just refuses to show cooldown after I use any spell (GCD "wipes" the timer; have to open OmniCC config, move the slidebar a bit and it appears again). For some reason in about 80% scale interface the timer will only display in up to 16 pt font, but then it disappears. Looks like it was one of the latest changes to OmniCC that broke it.

Also when I try to adjust if I want to see tenth of second it shows as "Never" for 1 second too and then jumps to 2 seconds.

I could just add endpoints that have the "nearly always show" and "its broken if you see something" tags.

Now, more about 4:

Basically, I took the idea of the blacklist, and ran with it. Instead of having a single list that just prevents cooldown text from showing up, you can now define multiple lists, and assign custom settings to each list (including the option to disable cooldown text). With default settings in 4, for example, two groups are defined: Action and Auras. Action contains any item that has the word Action in its name, and Auras contains anything with Buff/Debuff/Aura/PitBull. A third group exists, too, called Base. Base contains any cooldown that can not be mapped to a user defined group (ex, Action and Aura in this situation). Just like for Action and Auras, base allows you to adjust cooldown text settings for anything that's contained in its group.

Base is a bit special, since all custom groups inherit their settings from it. Internally, OmniCC 4 stores settings like this:
Code:
base = {
//cooldown text style info for the base group
}
action = {
//any setting in the action group that is different from base
}
auras = {
//any setting in the aura group that is different from base.
}
This means that OmniCC will recognize that when it goes to figure out how to display cooldown text for an Aura, for example, it'll say, "hey, these settings are as same as the base group, except the font size is smaller" and pull in the rest of the settings from the base group.

This also means that, if you adjust a setting in the base group, any group that did not specifically define a setting for it will inherit the new change. So, if you decide to change the base font from Calibri to Adventure, any group that did not specify their own specific font will reflect that change.

If you're accepting suggestions, change the current value wording for "Minimum font size to display text" from just number to "<number> (<approximate meaning>)"
something along the lines:
"2-5 (Nearly always)"
"6-9 (On most frames)"
"10-12 (Own buffs and action bars/inventory)"
"13+ (If you see a cooldown count - consider it a glitch!)"
