Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Problem with Configuration menu
Ive been using clique for a long time now, and its made my life as a healer much more bearable but today I ran into a problem. I put in a new bind and it came out fine, but I wanted to change it, so I try to click on the spell name in the configuration menu that I want to delete but I can't. It wont let me click any of the spell binds, or the custom/frames/profiles/option button at the bottom and there is no close button at the top right of the menu. I tried reloading the ui and logging out and back in and it did not fix it. In game, no lua errors come out

I have bought a razor naga 2day.. and i got a problem using it concerning Clique
i had the g5 mouse before the naga and with Clique i just bound some buttons ON the mouse to my healing spells nothing special i just hover over unit pressed a button and voila healing executed! With the Naga mouse i have 17 buttons which 12 of them are the actual actionbar buttons 1 to 12 (that u also see on ur keyboar)! The problem now is that i cant bind them anymore to a spell, if i see the button in the Clique menu "set key binding" and i press 1 of the 12 action buttons nothing happens! The main thing is.. i use 2 hover over units and then cast a spell and voila done (like healbot) but now i have 2 target and then i can heal.. so it takes abit longer! how can i fix this Plz some help with this

Right Click No Longer Working.
Hello, I use an oUF layout and before the latest patch had two OUT OF COMBAT custom clicks setup, one for Left Click which was set to "Target Unit:", and one for Right Click which was set to "Show Menu".
The "Target Unit:" function still works just fine, however the Right Click "Show Menu" does not, the oUF Layout in question has NOT been updated recently, but oUF itself has, could this have caused this issue? I'm stumped. Help? Thanks in advance! |

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: frameless click
Similar example: The Logitech G15 keyboard can also simulate keystrokes. But of course the keyboard is not forbidden in WoW. Blizzard even said once that the automation possible with this keyboard won't get you banned if you only use it out of combat (e.g. buffing). Just don't use it in combat. |

Re: Re: Re: Re: frameless click
But I guess if you run a program in the background that COULD be used for If-THEN logic or timing routines you'll be tagged a cheater anyhow: http://www.rootkit.com/blog.php?newsid=358 "..The warden dumps all the DLL's using a ToolHelp API call. It reads information from every DLL loaded in the 'world of warcraft' executable process space. No big deal. The warden then uses the GetWindowTextA function to read the window text in the titlebar of every window. These are windows that are not in the WoW process, but any program running on your computer. Now a Big Deal. I watched the warden sniff down the email addresses of people I was communicating with on MSN, the URL of several websites that I had open at the time, and the names of all my running programs, including those that were minimized or in the toolbar. These strings can easily contain social security numbers or credit card numbers, for example, if I have Microsoft Excel or Quickbooks open w/ my personal finances at the time. Once these strings are obtained, they are passed through a hashing function and compared against a list of 'banning hashes' - if you match something in their list, I suspect you will get banned. For example, if you have a window titled 'WoW!Inmate' - regardless of what that window really does, it could result in a ban. If you can't believe it, make a dummy window that does nothing at all and name it this, then start WoW. It certainly will result in warden reporting you as a cheater..." |

Re: Re: Re: Re: frameless click
You just can't do it with Clique.

Re: Re: Re: frameless click
Yes, if you are using an external program which sends multiple keystrokes to WoW when you press only one button (or even none) in reality, you are violating Blizzard's rules and might get banned.
And yes, WoW scans what programs you are running in the background. If you find an ingame Addon that does what you want, everything is ok. But don't use external programs. |

Re: Re: frameless click
I found an alternate way to do it with a winXP program that remaps mouse buttons as simulated keystrokes. I hope this doesn't violate ToS. Do you think it would be detectable running in the background?

frameless click
Can I use Clique to do this: during a fight I want to click my scroll wheel button to cast a spell WITHOUT having to mouseover any frame? It would just automatically land on my target, or the closest enemy. Thx
