Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Specifically, it is the Clique binds that were set with the ALT modifier that stopped working. Keeping Auto Self Cast checked works fine. Since most of my binds used the ALT key, this makes perfect sense. What is really odd to me and makes this make less sense is that I have been using Clique on retail for many years, way way back with Perl and the original Grid and have always used the ALT modifier. Never had an issue until now. Maybe an ElvUI update made something unhappy? In any case, mucho thanks this was driving me crazy during raid night last night. :-) Cain |

I am on it, I will see if I can narrow down the condition set for the error.
Thanks for the fast reply! Cain |

So I'm almost certain this is an issue with Blizzard's cast target resolution. I suspect quite highly that if you have a macro with a very simple /cast [@mouseover] Healing Wave then it will cast on you instead of the mouseover target.
The first thing to do: Options > Gameplay > Combat Make sure "Auto Self Cast" is off. Make sure that Self Cast Key is set to NONE. Then see if you can reproduce the issue. If you can, please make a macro and put it on your action bar and try to heal using that. You should be able to trigger this issue just using the target dummies. Happy to help. The key thing to understand is that Clique just uses the SecureTemplate system and that uses the same logic and even the conditionals as the macros, so if Clique is broken, the macros will be broken in the same circumstances unless something insane happens. You can *also* verify and test this by disabling Clique and simply using the in-game click-casting. That's under Options > Gameplay > Keybindings > Click Casting. You should be able to just set up some click binds and you'll almost certainly have the same issue. So first, let me know what happens either here or via email. If you "fix" it by disabling Auto Self Cast and Self Cast key then let me know. If you can't, and you're able to reproduce it on PTR please let me know a simple easy way to do that and I'll dig even further! Thanks for the help, I'll login to PTR this weekend and see what I can figure out!

Clique 3.4.12 and this week's WOTLK update not working right
I believe I have narrowed this issue down to Clique, as it happens while using ElvUI frames, Grid2, or the standard Blizzard frames. This also happened during both PTR sessions of Ulduar. In short, many spells will only cast on myself (or not at all) with the Target frame or with using Grid2.
I have a resto shaman and the Ulduar update this week has caused Healing Wave, Lesser Healing Wave, Earth Shield, and other Clique binds to only cast on myself. Most enemy cast binds do not do anything at all. Chain Heal and Riptide work fine, which is really odd. I have tried using multiple different frames and I have the same problem. Changing to Global and using mouseover seems to work, but is not how I play. Using macros doesn't work either unless I switch to Global and mouseover. I am a tech guy, so am happy to troubleshoot or provide any other information needed to narrow this down. Thanks Cain

Re: Re: Mouseover overriding action bar
It's set to default only. Strangely, I have healing surge set to 5 on default and chain lightning on 5 for my bars and this works just fine casting chain lightning when I'm not hovered over a unit frame. The same for ancestral vision (7) Riptide (1, shared with lightning bolt on bars) and some others work differently. When it's set to default only, it only tries to cast lighting bolt from the bars if I mouse over a unit frame or not. If I change the set to mouse over, It will only cast riptide when I mouse over bars and nothing when I am not. It is set up the same as healing surge, but seems to act differently Thank you |

Mouseover overriding action bar
Hello. Apologies if this has been answered, I have tried to search the comments. I'm returning to DF after a short break and previously I could have a keybind 1 set to riptide when hovering over the unit frame and it would cast 1 from my action bar (lightning bolt) when my mouse was not on a unit frame.
Previously this seemed to e how it worked by default however I'm unsure if there's been a chng I have tried to set it up where 1 is for riptide on mouse over only, but it disables my 1 on the actionbar. I'm unsure if this affects what's happening but I am using ElvUI Many thanks |

Re: Cannot activate spells or macros on 3D objects with left or right click alone
Wow will not let you re-bind those buttons, period. And Clique can only use the bindings that WoW enables. The reason we can do it on unit frames specifically is because there's code that enables that specifically. And yes, any binding that gets done is essentially a global binding. Even when you do something like bind "F" to cast a spell on unit frames, the way it works is that when your mouse enters the unit frame it sets a global override binding for 'F' to click that unit frame and removes it when you leave the unit frame. And LeftButton and RightButton are very special cases, you cannot bind those in the Wow default keybind menu btcause it would break everything, and we have to follow those restrictions/capabilities!

Cannot activate spells or macros on 3D objects with left or right click alone
It looks like there's no way to search within the forum for this issue, and I gave up after reading multiple pages, so I apologize if this is a stupid question but here goes:
I am unable to activate any ability or macro using the LeftButton or RightButton alone on 3D objects. The left button always targets and the right button always turns on auto attack. With modifiers or when hovering over unit frames they work fine, but for non modified clicks on 3D things and their nameplates it doesn't. Steps to reproduce: 1. Make sure either "LeftButton" or "RightButton" aren't still bound to their defaults for targeting / menus. 1. Bind whichever one you unbound in step 1 to any spell or a macro. 2. Add that binding to the "Hovercast" binding set. 3. Put your mouse over the target dummy and click the button on it or its nameplate. What should happen: It should cast the spell or run the macro. What does happen: Left click will target the dummy, right click will turn on auto attack at it. Steps I've tried to troubleshoot: 1. Reload UI many times. 2. Go into the new wow "Click Casting" settings interface and unbind Left/Right click there. I'm not sure what else to try. Edit: It turns out this would be a bad thing anyway. I didn't realize that when registering a hovercast or global binding it takes over that button press entirely (giving it to self.globutton it looks like?) which means no mouse turning if you bind mouse buttons to one. Unfortunately, I don't see a way around that either. You have to register the button for the clicks up front, right? So even filtering out the action once determining that the mouse isn't over an enemy (assuming it's in the "enemy" and "hovercast" binding sets) still wouldn't return control back to the game to let me turn with it.

Open unit menu not working with
Hello everyone, I am sorry in advanced if this has already been asked/answered.
I just happen to open the unit menu with right click by accident when I need to turn my camera around. This is only an issue in combat for me. I have tried setting it to "out of combat only" in Clique, but it doesn't work. It keeps working as default. Please, help Clique version: V3.4.12-release Party/Raid Frames: ElvUI Unit Frames: Default Binding not working: Open Unit Menu with Out-of-combat (ONLY)

Everything's included in the zip, won't benefit from installing anything else.
