    Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map.

    • Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
    • Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
    • Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
    • Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
    • Guild Positions : show all guild members that also have Cartographer.
    • Instance Loot : shows loot tables when you click a boss note
    • Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
    • Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
    • Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
    • Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
    • POI : store notes that city guards point you to.
    • Professions : automatically tracks herbs, minerals, and treasure.
    • Waypoints : allow you to make waypoints and have a big arrow point the way.
    • Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the number of men the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

    Since 2.3 I have had zero success updating this addon via wowaceupdater.exe.

    What I've found that HAS worked, is this:

    1) Delete ALL of your Cartographer folders from your addons directory.
    2) Go to THIS SITE
    3) Download the Cartographer addons individually & manually extract them to your addons directory. (not using WowAceUpdater.exe)
    4) Restart your world of warcraft client. You're not bothering with saved variables, so your previous settings should remain intact (mine were at least).

    NOTE: Make sure you download "Cartographer_Data" as well, to avoid losing your collected database of gathering profession notes.

    ....hope this helps, I'm getting tired of using the wowaceupdater tool to update my other 120 ace mods & then having to resort to manually redoing cartographer daily. I've saved the cartographer data on my desktop in a folder so i can just cut/paste the info into my addons directory though, to ease the pain.

    CK! pls get this to work with that tool!

    Ever since the 2.3 patch the Professions thing doesnt work anymore (making notes when you gather stuff). I've updated with wowace updater, updated manually, tried resetting the profile, enabling more things, but still nothing.

    Is anyone else having the problem? Or does anyone know a solution? Thx

    for some reason it simply refuses to show instance maps for me? what's up with that?
    All the errors are fixed, but when I use instance maps, I get the instance but not the icon for the bosses. Which means I can't click on them to see what drops.

    I know it takes awhile for the errors to fixed, just posting so they can see what's going on.

    If you use WAU to update your ace mods the black space behind that map has been fixed.
    Not sure about the tooltip issue.
    I had the black behind the map as well and a simple update fixed it.
    Only problem now for me is the no instance maps.
    I might just clear out my savedvariables and see if that fixes it.

    Whenever I opened Cartographer, after 2.3, there was a black screen behind the map. So I couldn't navigate myself while looking at the map. Also, my previous notes that were on there didn't show the tooltips.

    I have the same problem and can NOT figure out what the deal is. I've deleted everything, wiped WTFs clean, all of it and it refuses to show isntanced maps. I've had to go back to freakin Atlas for instance maps and YUCK!

    Got error after 2.3 patch:
    I got the exact same error except for stubby. I deleted cartographer temporarily and the error went away.

    I'm having a problem reporting AFK people in the battle grounds while using this mod. If you try to bring up the map and right click the dots, it doesn't give me the drop down list to report them. It doesn't do anything at all. I have to disable Cartographer before I go into bgs because of it, but I love the mod, so I want to not enable/disable this thing.

    EDIT: I guess I could use CattleProd to auto-report them but I like to report manually as well.

    hmm "battleminimap" (an addon that allows your battlegrounds minimap to display outself of the BG) doesn't like this addon. It is there, but nothing displays as "explored"
