TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

All I can really provide is:
TomTom:AddZWaypoint(c,z,x,y,desc) TomTom:AddWaypoint(x,y,desc) You call those functions, the waypoint will be added. There's nothing else that needs to be/could be provided on my side of things, and I'm not horribly familiar with the way FuBar plugins are implemented that would help you.

So Clad...
I was thinking about writing my first "addon" but it would really be a FuBar plugin for TomTom. Given that I've never done this before - I was wondering if I would need to edit anything in TomTom itself (as is) to get it to recognize the plugin? If so, would you be able to point me in the direction of the resource(s) to utilize that could answer some more question I might have as a result? I'm sure if I DID need to edit anything in TomTom as it currently exists, there'd be a reason and a document detailing why and how, etc. Basically my idea is having a very basic design implemented that would allow the user to select a continent, a zone, and then have two entry fields: one for X and one for Y. It owuld be displayed in a height vs. width proportion (whereby the continent selection appears in a drop down above the zone selection's drop down - and then to the right of those drop downs is the two entry fields X and Y). I was also curious if you have implemented anything under the hood that determines whether a waypoint was manually created or generated from a click in LightHeaded? The most basic way I can think of this would be akin to creating notes in MapNotes and setting one of the info lines to "temp" or some predetermined word. Performing a search against the created notes looking for "temp" would result in all those notes being solely manipulated there on out. So herpahs some way to determine if the user entered a note manually either via command line or the FuBar plugin? Reason being - it'd be nice to have the ability to clear all created waypoints via the FuBar plugin itself. This button would appear underscoring all the drop downs and the entry fields. If the user did not opt to select a continent/zone, it would default to the current continent/zone. Just sharing my idea on a plugin - I wouldn't expect you to write one unless you wanted to. I just thought it would be something you should know I am interested in trying out and would love any feedback (if any).

thx for the great addon, i love tomtom and lightheaded. since the newest cartographer ver.2-1-0-r36223 can't use the coord links. i choose tomtom. The problem is the coord links works well in tomtom, but i can't use /way reset to remove all the waypoint. The actual result is that perssing "Enter" doesn't work when after i typed /way reset
any other thing should i know? thx for your help BR Robin |

Re: Re: Re: Clueless Noob :P
In fact, as per one of my feature requests, that arrow is no longer displayed when you disable waypoints in cartographer. Give it a try. Otherwise, bring it to the attention of ckknight of Cartographer. |

No there's no way to disable it yet.

hmm.. how do I actually make use of the zone slash command? Tried like '/way Outlands, Nagrand, 50, 50' but that wasn't right apparently.
And uh.. is it possible to hide the tooltip for the coord frame?

So one thing I was playing around with yesterday...
To confirm whether or not the waypoint issue(s) were resolved (appearing under parts of the map in Cartographer, the tooltips in zonemap/worldmap, etc.) I added a TON of waypoints.... like 35+ So after I confirmed the changes you made indeed work (nice, btw), I was like... welll so now what do I do with all these waypoints? Is there some way to globally clear all waypoints? If so, where is that option? If it isn't currently implemented, could it be? Although more likely low user path (using that feature), it might be helpful for users that wish to simply "call it quits" on a zone for now and don't wish to have their waypoints displayed anymore. While the arguement could be made that they could just dismiss them via right-click as per usual... I found myself in Nagrand the other day at level 65 with a legitimate 20~ or so waypoints (I completed 19 quests in a row, all in a single "journey"). In that scenario, I might get bored and want to wait it out and do something else. Say... a raid. I'd have to spend much more time than necessary to clear those waypoints individually than if I had a simple option to clear them all. Perhaps even clear them per zone? Like... "Clear ALL?" and/or "Clear Current ZONE?" Touched on before, I'd also like to re-state I'd love to see a "save across session" feature for those of us that tend to... get logged off because they have a wandering mind. Sucks to have a ton of waypoints set and then get logged off/disconnected, only to find all the waypoints gone again. Awesome work on LH and TT. I am very happy with the changes made and am glad I found these!

Clueless Noob :P
Although I'm a level 70 i cannot still know how to fix addons out myself :P
So I ask if there's a slash command that Show/Hide the so-called green spots in the World Map (I use Cartographer, it might be why it don't show World Map spots?), or if is simply a feature that has been abandoned... If so I need to use a previous version of TomTom because I plan all my quests on it... Thanks man, really a great job, I cannot play without your Addon! |
