Simple Light Data Text v9.0.2
SLDataText is a lightweight addon based on text based modules, which can be moved & customized independently or globally. It includes LibSharedMedia support for expanded font selection, and various degrees of mouse click interaction on various module frames. It also supports user-created plug-ins to expand on the module selection beyond what is included in this package. Plug-ins can be as vast or as tiny as desired. Included is are custom libraries (LibSL-1.0 and LibSLTip-1.0) that are used for module configuration menu management and interactive tooltips.
Each module can be positioned independently via dragging and placement can be fined tuned via the configuration menu. Fine tuning includes manual frame anchoring, text justification, X/Y value tweaking, and frame strata value.
Each module has an independent configuration menu, and the AddOn has a global menu to handle unified font types & sizes. The following modules are contained in this package:

Memory problem
I would like to start by sayin great mod. I do like it, but, unfortunatly i can't use. I usually run around 40-80fps (depending on where i am, see system specs in sig) and as soon as installed this mod i dropped to about 12fps in a battleground (i usaually run around 45fps). It seems to have a big memory problem i think (i am don't know much about programming, i am a hardware person).
I just though i would bring this to your attention. I have just tried it running the default WoW UI with only a couple of mods and SLDT seems to jump from around 3MB up to 7+ MB of memory. again thanks for your hard work on this great mod. |

clock function
I've noticed that if you set the clock tooltip to hide, you can no longer click/shift-click on it to bring up the respective windows. Is this intended? I'd rather have the tooltip hidden but still be able to click on the clock.

Love this addon, have been using it for quite awhile I would love to see (if at all possible) a reagent/ammo tracker.

Just updated to the latest version and I got two problems;
Whats up with the "insane" shadow X/Y align? It's way out of reach. Also, if you align the guild-list to top-left, the popup-window goes out of bounds. (the screen that is.) |

A couple suggestions if I may.
Where to start. LOL. Wicked Addon! Love it. I'm a Hunter and my main concern is in regards to the statline. 1a. Ranged AP. Maybe you could change the text to "RAP" or even just "AP" 1b. I edited the lua myself to say RAP, but, not everyone knows how. 2a. Ranged Crit %. Maybe you could change the text to "CRIT" 2b. Same as 1b, however, being that we are setting up ranged values, one would assume we know the value is for "ranged" so not to sound rude, but no need really to say RCrit. We know it's ranged. Since we set it up on our ranged toon. If you get what I'm trying to say. 3a. DPS. This is set to melee DPS. Maybe add in Ranged DPS? 3b. With the help of this site, I've managed to edit the melee DPS and give the ranged DPS output. However, not everyone can and even tho it's displaying the proper DPS, I've never edited LUA before, but do have coding background. Still, done properly by the creator would be nice. Rather than my possible hack job. LOL. 4a. Ranged Attack Speed. ie: 1.79RAS 4b. I know DPS is better to see but still, sometimes nice to see your RAP go from 1.79 to 1.01. LOL. PEW PEW. 5a. Purely cosmetic but, could you increase the spacing between the 3 stats? or possibly add a padding option? I find it looks a bit, cramped. 6a. Is there a way to change how often the stats are checked? 6b. example: my DPS is 303.6. When I pop Rapid Fire and my Bloodlust Brooch, the buffs are almost over before it updates the DPS to 489.7. Same goes for turning on or off Aspect of the Hawk. Sometimes the RAP doesn't update to the buffed output until you turn the AOTH off. Which, you see it for a split second before it shows the unbuffed count again. Other than these suggestions, and the mail thing everyone has noticed, I have to give you a thunderous applause. This is by far, in my top 3 for mods. Versatile, informative, stylish and independantly MOVEABLE! LOL. Keep up the great work! You're doing a fantastic job Taff...

Few bugs/suggestions:
When Tracking is set to Text, the actual mouseover frame is only the size of the icon. (In order to change tracking, only a small part of the text actually reacts to mouseover/clicking) FPS display does not seem to update as often as it used to (I preferred it the old way). Adding an experience display option "Remaining" or something like that would be nice. It would look like: (XP left to level/% remaining) As someone else mentioned, the Mail module is performing somewhat erratically, I get No Mail X/X messages for no reason. And finally, a way to hide tooltips while retaining functionality (i.e. shift-click to open calendar) would be much appreciated. - Thanks for a great addon. |

2) I'm looking into it, I just noticed this tonight myself, happens when zoning in/out of instances, too. 3) Bug/Mistake, I will add Secondary Text for Memory on the next update. 4) I will look into it ;-) Kenzo: I'll take a look, I got a different error this evening when disabling and then enabling the module trying to reproduce the error. I didn't get it when disabling though, only when I re-enabled it. |

First off, thank you for such a great and useful addon.
I'd just like to ask if there is a way to trim the memory tooltip? I know the old version you could in the menu, but that's not there now. I have a bunch of addons and it'd be nice to only see the top 10 or 20 only. Second is a small bug with the mail. Everytime I reload my UI or login it'll display 'No Mail x/x,' where x is a number of how ever many times I logon without checking my mailbox. Third, I noticed that there is no option to change the secondary text for memory. Is this a bug or intended? Finally, a somewhat superfluous request, could you please add the option to show durability and money with their icons instead of their secondary text? Again thank you for SLDataText, I've yet to find a set of simple data mods that I like as much. |
