Simple Light Data Text v9.0.2
SLDataText is a lightweight addon based on text based modules, which can be moved & customized independently or globally. It includes LibSharedMedia support for expanded font selection, and various degrees of mouse click interaction on various module frames. It also supports user-created plug-ins to expand on the module selection beyond what is included in this package. Plug-ins can be as vast or as tiny as desired. Included is are custom libraries (LibSL-1.0 and LibSLTip-1.0) that are used for module configuration menu management and interactive tooltips.
Each module can be positioned independently via dragging and placement can be fined tuned via the configuration menu. Fine tuning includes manual frame anchoring, text justification, X/Y value tweaking, and frame strata value.
Each module has an independent configuration menu, and the AddOn has a global menu to handle unified font types & sizes. The following modules are contained in this package:

Hey! I love this addon, been using it since WotLK and seeing it updated for Legion (and BFA perhaps) makes me so glad!
I have a small request tho, would it be possible to sort friends in the friends tooltip by the game they are playing? Something like: WoW: - Friend 1 - Friend 2 Overwatch: - Friend 3 - Friend 4 etc. Thanks and keep up the awesome work! |

Durability
Just downloaded the latest 7.3.2.zip.
SLDataText.toc is labeled ## Version: 7.3.1 The Elements section tries to load "Elements\armor.lua" but the file in the Elements folder is named "durability.lua". Thus the durability module is not loaded. Updating the .toc file to point to "durability.lua" fixes this. |

Re: May Return & Revisit SLDT
Glad to see you back. I've missed having a decent data text addon. ELVui just doesn't meet all the needs. I tried loading the addon today, but its not even showing up in my Addons list. I see that the files show they are updated, but something seems to be missing. Any thoughts? |

May Return & Revisit SLDT
Hi, Taffu here (original author of SLDataText). I'm pretty close to pushing the button to buy Legion and return to WoW. While I struggle with that internal dilemma, I'll probably be hopping into the game for a little bit and I'm seriously considering revisiting SLDT and getting it up to snuff for the current game version (and heading into the next expansion).
I'll probably start taking a look at issues this weekend, and I'll post any updates and a timeline soon. I'll poke through the comments, too...but if there are any specific feature requests, be sure to submit them soon! |

If anyone's crazy like me and still running version 5.0, you need to be looking at the lines below 240 as shown here:
Code:
function Coords:Refresh() -- local posX, posY = GetPlayerMapPosition("player") -- self.string:SetFormattedText("%."..self.db.profile.precision.."f, %."..self.db.profile.precision.."f", posX*100, posY*100) -- SLDataText:UpdateModule(self) end |

On lines 24 thru 35 is where the error occurs. To fix this, you need to comment out (using --) lines 25 thru 34 (do NOT comment out lines 24 and 35, this will throw more errors if you do). So, lines 24 thru 35 should look like this: Code:
function SLDT.Coords:Refresh() -- if ( db.enabled or SLDataText.db.profile.configMode ) then -- if ( not self.firstRun ) then self.firstRun = true; SLDT:UpdateBaseText(self, db) end -- -- local posX, posY = GetPlayerMapPosition("player") -- text:SetFormattedText("%."..db.precision.."f, %."..db.precision.."f", posX*100, posY*100) -- -- SLDT:UpdateBaseFrame(SLDT.Coords, db) -- else -- if ( frame:IsShown() and not SLDataText.db.profile.configMode ) then frame:Hide() end -- end end The downside is that you will lose your map coordinates. This is because Blizzard disabled player coordinates in dungeons, hence why this addon bugs out in dungeons only. Just find another addon that's up to date for 7.1 that adds map coordinates. |

7.1 seems to have broken the addon. Anyone know how to fix this? It's related to the removal of coordinates in instances.
Code:
813x SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:29: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'posX' (a nil value) SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:29: in function `Refresh' SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:14: in function `Enable' SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:81: in function <SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:53> Locals: self = <unnamed> { 0 = <userdata> optsTbl = <table> { } Enable = <function> defined @SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:9 Refresh = <function> defined @SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:24 firstRun = true Text = <unnamed> { } db = <table> { } Frame = SLDT_Coords { } Tool = <unnamed> { } Disable = <function> defined @SLDataText\Elements\coords.lua:17 } posX = nil posY = nil (*temporary) = <function> defined =[C]:-1 (*temporary) = <unnamed> { 0 = <userdata> } (*temporary) = "%.0f, %.0f" (*temporary) = "0" (*temporary) = "f, %." Currency module
Hi folks, I've also posted this comment on the latest Fan Update for legion, but thought I'd try here as well:
The currency module still doesn't seem to work properly. The tooltip doesn't show, and if you go into its options, the only entry in the drop-down box for displayed currency is "None". I've not been able to find an addon (LDB or otherwise) that replicates SLDT's currency module quite the same, which is frustrating. And I've tried several alternatives. Any chance someone with addon knowledge can provide a fix (or code I can add to the lua, etc) for the currency module? Thanks in advance |

Changing Color
Does anyone know what I need to add in the code to be able to change the color of the font in this addon? For example, I would like to change EXP into a green color while the actual percentage value would be white?
