Dailies Quest Tracker

My local copy has fully went to LDB, so it is something that will be in a future release (I think I may abandon FuBar all together).

Yeah, communication was pretty neat when dailies where first implemented, I saw ALOT of people on my server use this of the mod (of course they didn't know that I could see them, but they couldn't see me ) but I really don't see anyone speaking of how they really like this feature anymore (Actually, there was protest when I added it .. LOL , being in made the AceComm channel). It's not a big deal as the feature is there and it's pretty much just plugging in new data to support future communication.

I'm almost positive a majority of the errors are from Horde toons or people using non English clients.

I do like the idea maybe modularizing big features (I.E. Quest Watcher, Communications, POI), to only be turned on when used. Kinda like making them Load-On-Demand if the user sets to use them instead of everything getting loaded.

I see now that some like 'A' feature, but don't like 'B' feature. So this way anything they don't want, won't be loaded and they will not have to deal with it.

I'm brainstorming atm, and I know everyone wants me to finalize Horde data. But it's not as easy as just going to Wowhead and grabbing quests. There's data just not there that I need and it's just a pain to explain to people with Horde toons to gather for me.

But I think I may make a macro or a side mod for DQT that people can use to gather the data that I need. Although like I stated earlier, I am leveling a Horde toon myself. So eventually I'll be able to gather this for both factions.

Yep, but being POI's are one of the nice features. I'm sure some may not want to turn this feature off.

So, as stated before. Not alot I can do, being Carbonite is taking over full control of the World Map which is bad programming IMO for user friendliness and has broken ALOT of other mods besides mine.

So users will have to choose I suppose on which they want to use at the time. Or like you said, turn off this feature.

And I don't plan on adding support for Carbonite from personal taste. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well from taking a gander at the Carbonite forum, it seems Carbonite doesn't play well with alot of addons. Really not alot I can do, being Carboite seems to take full control of the world map.

So, the time has come that I think I going to redo Dailies Quest Tracker from the ground up with more current libraries (Ace3. Broker, etc.) . The code has gotten sloppy and in all honest, this mod was never meant to be what it has become. My whole intention was just to make a simple addon that tracked what dailies you have done for the say. Simple stuff.

But, as you can see it has become alot more than that and the code has been kinda just added as I wanted or there was requested new features. So with that being said, what ideas/changes would you guys like to see?

This is not a bug fix request but more of a brainstorming for those that like and use this mod, I have read some of the problems people are having and that will come with this revamp. I AM currently leveling a Horde toon, so in the future I'll be able to gather data from both factions and make future releases more well rounded and not have to rely on data sites that don't have all the data that I need.

But a forewarning, with patch 3.1 being released soon (I am a raiding character and my 1 st priority is raiding with my fellow guildies) my main focus will be there.

I'm really thinking of make DQT a part of the QuestLog frame, I.E. Having a tab that is for dailies. Do people using the comminucation part of the mod? Something I can remove? Etc..

Let me know!! With 40K downloads on this mod I thought it'd be better to get ideas from the people that use it most then for my own use, which was how this mod first started.
