ProcWatch  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 40300.9
by: Rilgamon [More]

ProcWatch is a tool to help you to visualize your spells/buffs/debuffs/procs.
This addon is a rewrite of WdLW (Woge des Lichts Watch).

Spells are displayed by whitelists or blacklists. Sorted by
configurable priority or by time left.

There are 4 types of indicators

Buff/Debuff

  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when active
  • you can cancel buffs with rightmouse
  • warning when not active
Proc
  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when active
  • you can cancel procs with rightmouse
Weaponenchant (Poison/stones/fishing/whatever)
  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when active
  • you can cancel enchant with rightmouse
  • warning when not active
SpellCD
  • charges
  • text timer
  • play a sound when cooldown is ready
  • when a spellCD is static (always visible) it's an actionbutton and
you can click it to cast the spell.

ProcWatch supports ButtonFacade & LibSharedMedia for better looking spellbars (check Screenshots)

Addon Loader

The current version supports Addon Loader.
Addon Loader is a load manager, which can speed up the addon loading process.

Faq

Q 1: Blacklist and whitelist is empty. Where are my spells?
A 1: ProcWatch learns your spells/buffs/debuffs/procs when they are
active on your focus/target/character.

Q 2: Does ProcWatch know the spells of my class ?
A 2: ProcWatch is stupid. You have to teach it. (See A 1)

Q 3: I want to see spellCD-Button only when it's ready.
A 3: This would allow automated play. Thats why you have to decide
if you want to see it all the time or not at all.

Just wondered since when I originally uninstalled ProcWatch to re-install it to see if I could straighten out the problem I found saved variables in that folder. Maybe I should have looked through all of my characters folders also, but I was thinking that it might work like Carbonite, in that respect, and keep all of its' set up information in the same file. However, with the different procs for different classes, I can see where that file can become quite large. My installation of Carbonite currently uses 15.1MB of memory (for 38 characters). I use the mouse-over tool tip from SLDataText to check my memory use in-game, and since the tool tip doesn't scroll ProcWatch doesn't even show up on it.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Since buffs and procs are a characterbased thing the information is stored this way. Cant remember if or when I changed that. As you can see the files for a single char get quite big ... with all chars combined this file would be enormous

First, please accept my apology for posting this error when the error turned out to be my fault and nothing was wrong with ProcWatch.

Yes, I had tried other fonts. The problem is that I have dozens of them, but only a few that I really like. I had tried the ones I like and they all gave me an error. However, after going through most of my fonts list I have found many that are working and not giving an error. I've even managed to find one that works and looks good at the scale I have the icons set to (45%).

I do have a question, though: Are there supposed to be saved variables in the "Path to your WoW folder\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SavedVariables\" folder with this version? I remember they used to be in that folder, but they are no longer there instead saving to each character's sv folder.

I've been getting this error lately, and have no idea why (copy-n-paste from !BugGrabber):

I apologize for the large error report but I just don't know which part(s) you might need to pinpoint the problem.

I can confirm the bug but I cant find why the setting is ignored.
Even when I hardcode a different size its ignored.
Not sure if I will fix it and how ...

Font size of charges

Hello! Great addon, i'm very happy i found it. Everything works fine, but i can't change the font size of charges. I can change color, alignment, but not the size. I'm using addon on 60% scale and it is a very small digit that is hardly to check. Am I doing something wrong?

I cant promise, as you can see I update mostly the small addons I have because time is a little limited on my end. But I'll take a look at it

Edit: I've uploaded a new version (pending: 40300.9). It should show whitelisted spells at least. I converted wav to ogg so that the included soundfiles should work, too. Ace3 is updated and I tried the "new" Masque and added it to the optional dependencies. Should work, too. Please let me know if this helps.

Hi there...

this Addon is probably the most important one I have/had and is really helpful for my kind of playstyle.

Sadly it isn`t working any more at the moment.
Itīs loading and there is the Optionspanel in the Blizzinterface, but the bar itself is gone.
When I try to use it at a new char then Procwatch is not recording any Proc or spell and there isn`t a bar, too.

After I realized that I tried Proccwatch II - there is an bar but there no way to manage it - the Optionspanel with the spells is remains empty.

Please, please can someone fix this. Thanks in advance.

Going through the comments you will notice many timetables .. I never managed to meet one date I will try to prepare a somewhat useable version that is a little more userfriendly ... in the current version most settings are still ignored or have to be done by editing the cfg-file and I had to remove lots of code for hunting bugs. If you dont see the alpha by monday I missed another date

oh, still users around ?

You can move it with alt+leftclick after you activated the setting movable.

I ran into heavy problems with the next version and there are so many bugs in the new version it is not yet out. I hope that the available version can do what you want it for
