Description

Rune-It-All adds more features and functionality to Blizzard's rune frame, including size, movement, transparency, cooldown text, various art styles, and more.

Rune-It-All does the following:

  • Allows you to scale the size of the runes
  • Allows you to change the transparency in and out of combat
  • Allows you to unlock and lock the runes so that you can move them around
  • Has 5 unique layouts including: Vertical, Curved Up, Curved Down, Vertical Block, and Horizontal Block
  • Has 7 unique art choices including: Beta Runes, DKI Runes, and Letter Runes, Japanese Runes, Orb Runes, Runica Runes, Beta-Enhanced Runes
  • Allows you to move the runes individually
  • Has custom cooldown text (includes several options along with it)
  • Has option to show runes (when OOC - and useful when OOC alpha is less than 1) when you use a rune (e.g. Death and Decay OOC)
  • Allows you to increase or decrease the spacing between runes ("padding") Note: only works for Vertical and Horizontal layouts
  • Allows you to configure how the rune bar acts when you enter a Vehicle

The only issues I've had were death runes becoming blood runes after dying and coming back in a raid or instance (in frost spec).

Also, it seemed like when in Blood spec after dying my runes would all be the cooldown alpha even though they were good to go. Using the runes, though, would correct it after they came off cooldown.


* I haven't checked since your latest update so I will be sure to update and check these issues out again.. Thanks for your work on this AddOn, great stuff!!

Sorry for the extremely late follow-up. I did some quick coding with this and wasn't able to accomplish what I wanted.

In my past experiences with the spiral, I discovered that the spiral texture didn't look good on anything but the default runes. I realize that it could be nice to keep such a feature for the default runes, but I don't wish to spend additional time and effort on such a feature if I won't use it myself. I implemented the alpha and cooldown counts as a substitute that I personally enjoy more.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, I don't feel like implementing such a feature when there is already a way to move each rune individually. While I understand it may be hard to move each rune and align them, it would be a lot of additional work.

If you are really bugged by it, you could manually edit the SavedVariables of Rune-It-All and adjust the coordinates as necessary.

You asked for suggestions so I am delivering. I like the fact that you can change the possition, and would use some of the default layouts, if I could reorder the rune order. My rotation starts with Frost runes, then Unholy, and finally uses Blood runes so that the there are more diseases on the target when I use a Blood ability that adds damage for more diseases. Because of this I have my buttons set up so that the abilities I use more often are on sequential keys and fire from left to right. If you allowed the order of the runes to change while not changing the layout manually, it would enhance the addon a bit. I have moved the runes to match my use of them but I can't get them lined up pretty like you did. Thanks for a great addon.

Just saw your new release on my Curse Client. And the Death Rune issue is fixed, thanks.

(just had to remove the line "print("#: "..rune.." type: "..runeType)" from the .lua to stop the chat spam).

Thanks, your continued work on this great addon is very much appreciated.

EDIT: Just realized fixing the Unholy Runes will also fix DigitalDollies bug below. I noticed Festering Strike behaving oddly as Unholy as well but I haven't played that spec in a while so I didn't know if it was fixed yet or not.

Hey Tyds,

I've actually been battling this issue for a bit now. I know it is a very huge issue with the addon. The way Blizzard has set up the runes was/is messed up. They later changed the positions of the Unholy and Frost runes, so they simply decided to flip them in their AddOn's code. I think I can get around this now that I am using my own runes. So, I'm going to have to look it over and sort of re-implement some of the things I did to the runes previously.

I will be spending some time with this asap

As for the taint, I'll have to look at that as well but it won't be a high priority at the moment.
