Matheney's Healing UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.0a
by: matheney2k [More]

User Interface
Version 3.0a
Made for Cataclysm (4.2)
There are 2 separate folders included, please read downloading instructions!

Set up for 1920x1080 and 1680x1050 Resolutions

Description:
This UI is designed to be complex enough to handle most scenarios that can happen in World of Warcraft, while still maintaining a structured, organized feel to it. It can be used for both raiding and PvP. Grid is set up in the middle and configured so that you can see raid debuffs/raid icons on the top and cleanse-able debuffs in the middle (NOTE: other class healers will need to switch which type of debuff's they can cleanse to the middle icon as this is set up for curse/magic only)

The dockingstation at the botton is one large bar that I have made completely transparent. It is set up so that you can switch specs/switch gear sets(through blizzard equipment manager)/switch any rep you want to track/and many addon menu's all at the click of the mouse on it.

Stuf Unit Frames is set up so that you can see who your target is targeting easily and your personal debuffs on your target are highlighted so that you can tell them apart from other player's debuffs. NOTE: I have removed the party frames from being seen in my UI.

Everything should pretty much be set up already for you, but if something isn't and you have any questions feel free to ask my anytime on here or in-game.

Follow the instructions below and enjoy!

Installation Instructions:

1. Backup your current files! (this is done by creating a new folder on your desktop, then go into your WoW directory. By default, in vista or windows 7 this is "C:\Profiles\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\". In Windows XP or below it is "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\". Copy the folders labeled "WTF" and "Interface" to this new folder you just created on your desktop.

2. Delete your current WTF and Interface folders.

3. Open the zipped file and copy your specific resolution's WTF (delete the other 2), font, and Interface folders into your WoW directory.
  • NOTE: Inside the download is 2 separate folders: one for it's own respective resolution. Simply open up the folder matching your resolution you play on and copy/paste the interface and WTF folders inside it, while deleted the unused resolution's folders.
( I say again, delete the other unused resolution folders)

4. Go into your new WTF folder, then into Account and rename the folders as follows:
  • a. Rename "ACCT NAME" folder to your actual account name and (it should be in all caps). This is not your battle.net email but your actual username. If you created your account after Battle.net was implemented than it might be a long string of numbers.
  • b. Go into your newly renamed Account folder and rename "Server Name" folder to the server you play on. If you play on multiple servers you will need to copy this folder and and rename one for each server you play on.
  • c. Go into your newly created "Server Name" folder and rename "Character Name" to your character's name. This will have to be done for each character you play on. If you have multiple characters you will need to copy this folder and rename it to each of your character's names.

5. Log into WoW and make sure all the addons are enabled (check "Load Out of Date Addons" at the top of the addon box).

6. Log into your character and make sure your resolution is set to the resolution you desire, and that your UI scale bar is all the way down (the slider should be to the very left)

Everything SHOULD be setup for you completely upon logging in, but just in case it is not:

7. To fix your buttons type /dom. Go down to profile and enable the profile "Matheney"

8. If your buffs start on the right side of your screen type /movebuffs. Then drag the highlighted icons over to the left side of your screen as my SS show and they will work just fine.

9. While still in your interface options menu scroll up to Docking station. Go to the profile options and select "default"

10. In your interface options go to Quartz 3 and enable the profile "default"

11. Continuing the theme of being in your interface folder, go to skada and enable profile "default"

12. FInally, type /grid. Make sure the profile "Matheney" is chosen. You may have to reload your UI for this effect to take hold.

That should be all the configuring that needs to be done to get it to look like mine. I know it looks like a lot, but it actually only takes about 1 minute for it to be mission capable.

3.0a: Fixed some folder issues with the install package. (LOL @ giant texture package being tucked away inside GridManaBars)

3.0: Updated everything for 4.2. Revamp of UI cosmetics, and made it a *LOT* more lightweight. Try only using 8mb on for size :)

5-6-11: Updated for 4.1

2-07-11: Mostly cosmetic changes. Slight changes to overall design of UI to add more "open screen". Updated addons in the package. Nothing big.

1-17-11: Added 1440x900 resolution to the download.

Instructions seems to be lil dated as you dont have sexymap as you map addon no more. In the current zip file you have duplicates of Server Name with no folder labeled as ACCT Name in the 1680x1050 WTF folder... The other screen resolutions seems to be ok.

Re: 1680 X 1050 WTF folder

Hello - I really dig the look of your UI and I really look forward to using it. However I did experience an issue. Last weekend I downloaded and attempted to install your UI. My resolution is 1680 X 1050. Whenever I would load into the game, I would have a really jacked up version of the default UI and none of the profiles were located within any of the addons installed. After some poking around, I had found that the folders located within the 1680 X 1050 folder were labled incorrectly causing me to misname folders. Once I named everything correctly, it still didn't work. I then took the 1080 resolution folder, renamed it accordingly and voila, everything worked as it should, it just looked a little funky because it was configured for a different screen resolution. I have not tried the addon pack since you have added support for the 1440 resolution so it is possible that this has been corrected but I wanted to see if I was the only one to experience this issue and see if this has been fixed in your latest version. Thanks for your time in developing this compilation and answering my question!

I have looked into this and everything should be working as intended now. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I like the UI and I want to use it, but I'm having some trouble, the minimap addon doesn't show any config ingame, but under addons it shows that it's there. So /mmap doesn't register anything. Also I played with the resizing and now I can't get docking station to put anything back where it's supposed to go. The main reason for the mini map is because everything fits well except for the recount and omen plate over laps almost half the minimap. Any help would be great.

EDIT:Well I figured it out, it's /mm for the maps, but I got everything to fit except the back plates, if possible, I'm not sure what the addon is called, but I would rather they just not be there.

I assume you are talking about kgpanels. If you would prefer any of the panels not be there, I have labeled each one some-what directly as to reflect which panel they are. All you have to do is turn down the opacity to min, or if you are sure you will never want it there you can just delete each panel you don't want.

What I did was make sure the Matheney Profile was loaded for both recount and omen.... The minimap was in its place fine.... After I loaded the profiles for omen and recount I resized each to fit in the panel to the left of the mini map with recount on the left and omen on the right. I believe I scaled recount to .85 to fit little better and then I made the row height smaller so the text would be smaller where the data was as I liked how the text looked for the label. If you need I can prob post an image but unless you ask I will pass at the moment.

Oh and the last one, how can i make it show the Level of myself and my target like yours ? You know it says Matheney(in blue ofc hehe) and under it it says 85. I want to put that 85 too.

Thanks again, you are really great for helping out like this

I haven't used Pitbull in quite some time, so forgive me if my directions are a little fuzzy.

1. I did not notice you said Pitbull before so what I gave you was kinda useless XD. This should work for pitbull, just put it in the custom LUA code option.

HP Code: local cur, max = HP(unit), MaxHP(unit)
return "%s\n\n%s/%s", Percent(cur,max),Short(cur,true),Short(max,true)

MP Code: local cur, max = Power(unit), MaxPower(unit)
return "%s\n\n%s/%s", Percent(cur,max),Short(cur,true),Short(max,true)

2. On the level, I *THINK* the level is tied to the "class text" and not name? If so then just pick the class option that only shows the level, color it as you see fit and attach it to the unit frame. After that place it in the general direction you want (top-left, bottom-left, etc) and adjust the x and y values as necessary.

If I am completely wrong and the level is indeed attached to the Name text then that is a LUA code I do not have on me Again this is all from memory so don't shoot me if I am off a bit

return "%s/%s\n%s%%",Short(cur,true),Short(max,true),Percent(cur,max) is the right code for the hp/%percentage to be same as yours... I figured that all i needed was the "\n" annotation(\n = new line)... But i couldn't find it out without your line hehe... Thanks again

Now i'm gonna look at level number...

Since SBF has restrictions on right clicking buffs off maybe nivbuffs could be an alternative buff mod to use? http://www.wowinterface.com/download...-nivBuffs.html is the mod I am playing with at the moment.

LOL! You don't have to apologize for sh*t! You are the one taking all the time to develop a ui and being nice enough to distribute it to the masses and taking time to answer questions of those that use it. I thank you for your efforts and look forward to giving it another whirl tonight.

Thanks again!
