Description

This addon is a simple timer for Tol Barad, the world PVP area of Cataclysm. All it displays is a timer count-down until the battle for Tol Barad starts. During the battle it will display "In progress" and if you're in an instance it will display "Unavailable" [Blizz doesn't allow you to check for it in an instance(BG, Dungeon, Raid, etc.)] This allows you to get the time until Tol Barad while inside an instance, it only requires that you have a guild-mate or friend who has the addon aswell who is outside an instance. This also works for party and raid members who aren't inside.

It will also put the faction icon next to the text of who currently owns this, as of now this only works on English clients, sorry! (Note: This will NOT work in Outland since the addon checks the map for the owner and "[Faction] owned" doesn't show up on the Eastern Kingdoms map in Outland. Blame Blizzard)

Control

Right-Click to access options
- Ability to automatically announce time until battle
- Ability to announce at 20m, 15m, 10m, 5m, 1m, and begining of battle
- Ability to announce to raid, party, guild, or self
- Ability to play sound file at announce times
- You can choose sound file from preset list (please request any others from the game you might want me to add)

Notes

Be sure to have text enabled on your LDB Display!

LibDataBroker(LDB) is a small WoW addon library designed to provide a MVC interface for use in various addons.
In a sense it's a lightweight FuBar or Titan Panel with various different display addons.
Here are a few LDB Displays: Bazooka, DockingStation, NinjaPanel, and ChocolateBar. There are plenty more, you just have to find them!

- Added more Tol Barad owner checks if you suspect it's not displaying the correct owner

- Added faction icon as to who owns Tol Barad currently (only works on English clients)

-Added options panel via right-click to easily change settings

1) Can the text announcements include who is attacking, i.e.

2) Win/Lose announcement. Once the battle is over, it would be cool if TBT made an announcement like:

4) I realize it is part of advertising the mod, but would it be acceptable to shorten the announcement prefix [Broker_TBTime] to [TBT]? The current one is quite long and takes up a bit of the chat box unnecessarily. Most likely people who will want to download the mod will just ask me directly what it is and where I got it anyway

Well that's it. Other than the UI error, you don't have to consider any of these suggestions, just some thoughts I've had over the last week. Thanks again for the mod.

That error has been fixed on my local version of the addon, considering it's only one line I changed I didn't consider it vital to upload right away, but it will be gone next version.

1) I have implemented something along these lines on my local version saying (Alliance Owned) or (Horde Owned)

2) This is something I would consider and will look into doing, I like this idea

4) I noticed you skipped 3) but I understand where you're coming from, I suppose I could shorten it a little :P

I am having an occasional error with TBT and Bartender4 (I assume from the reference below), any idea why it is occuring?

This stops the usual guild/party/raid question about whether we're attacking or not.

I suppose if you wanted to be really sophisticated, depending on whether you are an alliance or horde player, it would only note whether your side is attacking or defending.

i.e. I am an Alliance player so I only either see:

[Broker_TBTime] 5 minutes until Tol Barad (Alliance is attacking).
[Broker_TBTime] 5 minutes until Tol Barad (Alliance is defending).

You might want to the whole idea optional, as some people may prefer the terse output you have right now.

2) Win/Lose announcement. Once the battle is over, it would be cool if TBT made an announcement like:

[Broker_TBTime] Alliance have won Tol Barad! Baradin Hold is ours!
[Broker_TBTime] Alliance have lost Tol Barad!

Again, specific to each side would be cool or unnecessary

This is largely handy so people in the guild know we won it and might want to consider forming a BH group.

Hahaha, I made sure to put that one in when I found it! I'm glad you suggested this because I find it pretty useful as well. If you have any more ideas please let me know, I enjoy adding new things.

Just wanted to thank you for adding those features so quickly, they have been working flawlessly for me, I particularly enjoy using the cow noise to let me know when it is time for TB
