ScrapBook (Retail)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 8.3.0.47
by: Ne0nguy [More]

About ScrapBook:

So you have hundreds if not thousands of hours on World of Warcraft right? Well what do you have to show for it? Sure your character may look pretty awesome, but that isn't very relevant if your trying to figure out what you got done last week.

ScrapBook is designed to take the most candid snapshots of your ongoing adventures in the World of Warcraft.
It takes a snapshots on specified intervals (defaulting to every 10 mins), leaving a watermark in the upper left and right corners with your characters name, realm, guild, rank, level, current xp, location, and a time stamp.

This works great if you set your Desktop or Lock screen background to a slideshow of your WoW screenshots folder. You will find lots of mid-combat shots of PvE, PvP, and Raids. Many of which are humorous or very cool looking at the least.

Re: Re: WoW Problems that MIGHT be related here...

I'll try that, in the sense of testing it when nothing is happening might give me data. But it happens most often when lots of flashy stuff is on my screen - middle of combat, especially in dungeons/raids. Have I missed a setting that might turn it off during combat? (Is that even possible?) Then again, that wouldn't come into effect when I'm just at the mission table.

*sigh* Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try it again.

I realize that it's likely not actually caused by *your* addon, that your addon is just triggering something else. But, do you have any suggestions as to what I can look at? It probably doesn't help that I'm using Lutris to manage WINE which I need in order to run WoW, since I use LINUX (ubuntu) as my operating system.

If you can't offer help, that's fine - I just don't know where to go for any help, since Blizzard refuses to support Linux (despite the fact that Linux and Mac OSX are the same under the hood.)

Thanks, for any reply!

It's hard to say what could be the cause of it. But you might be able to narrow it down by disabling some of your other addons until you notice it working better.
There is an toggle option in the ScrapBook settings for Hiding the UI so if its too much for your pc you can turn that off.

Here's a couple slash commands that might make your troubleshooting faster:
  1. /SnapShot
    • This will take an immediate snapshot
  2. /ScrapBook test
    • This will set the timer to 5 seconds before the 15 second warning

So disable some addons, do /SnapShot and see if it is faster, if not, disable more addons until you figure out whats interfering.

It is compatible. Until I get a separate download page setup on WoWInterface you can find the classic download page here: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/scrapbook
Thank you! Looking forward to having it here; it's friendlier to me, on linux, than curse/twitch/amazon/whatever is.

I finally got around to making a Classic specific page for it here on WoWInterface:
