ZigiPrestige - Account Prestige/Honor Calculator  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.8
by: leobolin [More]

With patch 8.0 on live servers, this addon is now obsolete. Thanks for using it!

Old description for archival purposes:

As of Beta build 26871 you now need 8,800 Honor per Honor Level in 8.0. The addon has been updated to reflect this. You do not need to log in to all of your characters again - the change should be retroactive as long as you update the addon.

In build 26949 this was changed slightly yet again, requiring slightly less Honor for early levels. Going from Honor Level 1 to 2 only requires 5,500 Honor. We're not really sure how quickly it ramps up, but at Honor Level 14 it is already at 8,800 per level and this seems to be the max. At level 200 you still need 8,800 to get to level 201.

For now, the addon will still assume you need 8,800 Honor per level all the way through, so you might gain a few more levels than the addon tells you once patch 8.0 is live. It still shouldn't be a huge difference, at most you might gain a few more levels.

In Battle for Azeroth, the Honor and Prestige system is being reworked again. Prestige is going away, and instead you will have an account wide Honor Level which basically has no cap. Blizzard has confirmed that it is your total amount of Honor that will be merged to give you your new Honor Level.

This is a really simple addon that just adds your total account Honor together and calculates what your account Prestige is right now, and what Honor Level you will get once your honor is merged in 8.0.

The addon updates your Honor total each time you gain honor, or when you log in to a level 110 character automatically. You can then display this value by typing /zp or /prestige in game.

Note that you will have to log in to each of your level 110 characters at least once after installing the addon to get an accurate total for your account.

There are no options, and the addon barely uses any memory or CPU.

The addon will be completely obsolete once the 8.0 patch hits live servers. It is simply a way for you to see what your Honor Level will end up being in Battle for Azeroth.

Current Assumptions

The addon is currently working under the assumption that you will need 8,800 Honor per Honor Level in Battle for Azeroth. This seems to be the case in the current Beta build, but might change in the future. If it doesn't change, you will actually need significantly more total Honor to reach the current max reward (Prestige 25, Honor level 50) equivalent in Battle for Azeroth (Honor Level 300).

I have personally tested the amount needed per level on the Beta up to level 200 and it seems to be the same amount of Honor for each level all the way through.

Honor Rewards in BfA

The list below has been datamined from the Battle for Azeroth Beta and could change before going live. As you can see, the reward pacing is not the same and some things have been moved around. The early rewards actually require less total honor to get in BfA, while the later ones require more honor.

A recent tweet from @WarcraftDevs states:
"The Legion Prestige rewards are all available in the new Battle For Azeroth Honor system, but the pacing isn’t exactly the same. Anyone who earned a reward in Legion will keep it in Battle For Azeroth, even if they don’t meet the new requirements."

For comparison, Prestige 26 is roughly 1.1 million Honor while Honor Level 300 in BfA is around 2.6 million Honor. You will need a total of 4.4 million Honor to reach Honor Level 500!

Honor Level 5: Alliance Enthusiast/Horde Fanatic (Pet, Prestige 7)
Honor Level 10: Artifact Appearance: The Prestige (First Color, Prestige 2)

Honor Level 30: Prestigious Pennant (Toy, Prestige 8)
Honor Level 40: Prestigious Ivory Courser (Mount, Prestige 9)
Honor Level 50: Artifact Appearance: Crest of Carnage (Third Color, Prestige 11)

I looked a bit in files but didn't figure out where the variables for honor calculation are saved. Could you please tell me if there is a file I could erase somewhere just to force a reset so I can redo the proper amount? (until you have time to update it)

Thanks in advance!
You can edit the variables here:

World of Warcraft > WTF > Account > (your account name) > SavedVariables > ZigiPrestige.lua

Open it with a text editor and then remove the line with your old character's name and realm and save. Make sure the game isn't running when you do this, or it will be overwritten again.

You can also delete the whole file if you want to start over from scratch, but then you'll need to log in to each character again.

thank-you.
There is no way for addons to access other accounts, but there is a nice workaround if you want to share all addon settings across multiple accounts. You can set up symbolic links inside your WTF folder. This can be done on both Mac and Windows, but you might want to google the specifics for your OS.

I personally play on 3 accounts so I have 2 symbolic links from my two extra accounts that point to my main account's folder (WoW2 and WoW3 are pointing to the WoW1 folder). Note that if you do this it will affect ALL your addons. Hope you can figure it out!

Thanks a lot for this addon. Helped me track where I should land once 8.0 lands.

Oh ! I briefly checked on beta and with honor 14 we already need 8.8K to level up.

Yep, I just submitted an updated version of the addon. Should be available as soon as it's approved by WoWInterface.
