If the database button is not there, then you are doing something wrong with the install or activation.
Be certain of the install path and that the GathererDB_Wowhead has a gold, not silver, check mark in the box to its left.
Once you have everything correct, it will show as "Database" just under "Plugins" within the G...

Do you have the database button in the Gatherer options, should be at the bottom of the list on the left.
If it is there and the import itself is not working, ensure that you have the SlideBar and the HUD active until you perform the import, some folks had an issue where it would not import without those being active....
