I use Fluidframes to move pretty much everything. And resize. I recommend you try that instead of detatched minimap buttons. And maybe use a minimap mod like chinchilla.

I did try moving the minimap art with fluid frames and that does not work. (atleast for me) but i havent tried anything else. I wonder if you can move the spheres with out screwing it up. Sometimes when you use fluid frames moving something can actually cause an error or issue with the addon your moving

One thing you have to be sure of is to not mess with the size demensions of the circle and to make sure you keep the original circle shape. Make sure your background is set to transparent. And if i remember correctly with photoshop you have to create an alpha layer and do a few other steps (not sure tho sorry) this is why i use GIMP...
