I was not able to find this anywhere so I ask here.
is there a global command for this addon that will clear all the chat logged at once?

It is a bit tedious manually clearing for each type, guild, raid, whisper etc/

i.e. we have one method to input our message now which is then delivered to trade or whatever every x seconds.
