Make sure you have the latest version of Grid from wowinterface.com or curse.com.

Right, which is why I specifically mentioned that it's not possible for "addons like PhanxBuffs that provide filtering or sorting". Blizzard's half-assed secure template only offers the most rudimentary filtering options (helpful, harmful, cast by player, not cast by player)...

The new versions of Grid will no longer use or include any Ace2 libraries, so most plugins will need to be updated, since almost all of them currently require Ace2 but don't include it themselves.
