 Focus frame mousover

Has anyone had any problems with mousover interactions with the focused unit frame? My guild is setting focus on a warlock gate and then using the "interact with mouseover" keybind to take the gate in raid since the entire raid is stacked on it and it's hard to click, but my interact with mouseover is not working with the focus frame...
