It's been a long time since I've seen them, but I think that's the blizzard raid/party frames.
You have some options:
move the chat frame to the bottom left/right in the options
go into your SUF settings by typing /suf then go to "hide blizzard" and check the box for blizzard raid frames
install an addon like grid that changes...

I totally missed it, so in that regard I do apologize. Was also dealing with a Defcon 2 level migraine. :(
But, even with that, the only addons I use when I try a new UI are the core addons that are used in the UI download. Disabled them all, one at a time of course, and still had no control over the volume settings.
