A screenshot would be helpful. Just upload it to an image hosting site and post the URL here. Also, what version of PhanxChat are you using, and are you playing on 3.3.3 live realms, or the 3.3.5 PTRs? _

Version 3.3.5.70-beta Updated for patch 3.3.5. Not backwards compatible! Added an “Enable resize edges” option to add resize controls along all edges of chat frames, and remove the bottom-left-corner resize arrow. This basically just restores pre-3.3.5 chat frame resizing functionality. Added a “Hide extra textures” option to...

Re: Hiding playerframe while in a group/raid
Posted By: Phanx
Not really. The simplest solution would probably be to grab the GridStatusSelf plugin; its intended purpose is to highlight your own frame, but if you set the color alpha to 0 and then assign it to the Frame Alpha indicator, it should effectively hide your frame, though it will leave a hole in your Grid layout.

Usage There are no options. It “just works”. I also don't plan to add any options; leaving a party is something you do infrequently enough that it's not really a big deal to click the dialog. I may add the ability to accept the dialog with Enter, or cancel it with Escape, though. Would that work for you?

No. Why would you not want to monitor your Earth Shield? Or, if you're using another addon to monitor your Earth Shield, why don't you just use the same addon to monitor your Water/Lightning Shield?

There isn't; even if you changed the SBF GUI to allow you to send a larger font size to the appropriate API, WoW simply won't render font strings any bigger than that.

Well, there's one really easy way to find out if it is caused by a combinations of addons: disable all addons except for PhanxChat and try to reproduce it. Aside from that, the only function or object mentioned in your taint log that PhanxChat does anything with at all is FCF_OnUpdate, and that only indirectly. You can try disabli...

Oh. There is no "configuration mode" where you can show a bunch of dummy frames. The way Grid is written (using Blizzard's secure group header system) doesn't support this. The old "Show Frame" option wouldn't have helped; it only let you toggle Grid on/off for different group types (solo, party, raid), which can be accomplished n...

Your first two screenshots look correct. The third screenshot is from a very old version of Grid, before support was added for setting different layouts for different group types. It looks like you've changed some settings from their default values. Make sure that the layout is not set to "None" for the type of group you're curren...

Re: Not saving settings

Have you changed anything recently? eg. installed a new addon, reinstalled WoW, installed a new OS on your computer? I can't think of any really obvious "well, this is probably what's wrong" reasons why your settings would suddenly stop being saved.

Would you consider adding an auto-hide feature, where the button hides itself automatically when there's nothing to cast? @TotalPackage: I had a user report that Grid was somehow interfering with CoolLine (and Clique) after switching talent specs. The only change in the version where the problem appears was to throttle Grid's response to LEARNED_SPELL_IN_TAB and CHARACTER_POINTS_CHANGED, and I haven't seen any issues with Clique, but I'm grabbing you...

Posted By: Phanx
Hmm. I'm not sure how that error is possible; it's basically saying that the chat frame it's trying to process a message in doesn't exist, but the function only runs when a message appears in that chat frame, so obviously it does exist... Does the same error occur when you log in with all addons disabled except for PhanxChat?

Nope. I don't write "low-mem alternatives", because static memory usage is not even remotely important, despite the hype, unless you're playing WoW on a 386 or something similarly primitive. That said, though, I didn't know Altoholic had this feature, as I've never used it, since I have no interest in any of the many features I do kn...
