current DEV Version
 

Hello all.. What is the current version of carbonite and where can I get it? all I can find is stuff from January (on wow interface) and on gethub is from 5 months ago. Or is this the current stuff? thanks for all the help and keep up the good work this program make my wow life easier. :D:D:D:D

Can you tell me if the github is the "latest" version? I've had a download via curse that shows me at 6.2.0 on around the 23rd. Looking at github various modules have been updated since then.

Should we download github's zip and ignore the curse update if it flags it again? It's been working since the Curse update 6/23 with a few lua's on quests starting yesterday, but otherwise it works and that's marvelous! Hate to mess it up with the wrong or old files.

At the time of my past post the DEV was the latest version. That has been released live and the current version on Curse and Wowinterface is the most current so you can download it from them and disregard the Dev.

Only a bit data is more in DEV now,

and a bugfix for tanaan jungle flightmasters because mixed up states for alliance/horde/contested


that means on dev you see the right flighticons on live they are bugged at the moment
(on alliance side you see flightmaster Volmar as alliance on horde don't and so on

appreciate the updates on versions! but can you clarify what you mean by DEV? i'm assuming i understand git versions, but DEV....from wow interface? or....

i've not had an update from curse since 6/23 using the updater. I"ll go check the website also.

On github there are Branches ... MASTER is branch which is equal to actual Carbonite Release... DEV branch is development version.

Ah! ok thanks! I only started checking github awhile back, when I had to dnload a version from there. Did not know about the directory structure, duh.

I believe this answers my question. Thanks again, you guys keeping us in the loop on this addon are just wonderful, appreciate it tons. :)

Just checking in. Nothing new to dnload it looks like. But things are working more or less, it's usable :-)

If I may be s stupid as to ask, how does one get the file from GitHub to where they need to be on your pc?

Not stupid at all. :)

and save it to a special folder you can remember and unzip it there. Then open that folder and then the "Carbonite-Master" folder and select all but the files beginning with "git" and copy them.

Then go to your "World of Warcraft" folder where you should see an "Interface" folder and in that folder one called "AddOns". Paste the folders into that folder and Carbonite is installed.

When you enter the game, check and make sure they are all enabled.

Is anyone else getting an FPS hit with Carbonite running? And if so Is there any fix?

Update:
Lightheaded was causing framerate hit. Went from 4-5 to 25-30
