Suggestion: An option to choose the preview thumbnail
 

I would really love to see the option to choose which picture from the uploaded images that you would like to see as the preview thumbnail.

I really hate browsing UI compilations and mods to only see an addon listing or config screen instead of an image of said mod or UI.

It is something that has been requested before and is something we want to get added as soon as we can get the time, allowing the authors to decide which screenshot they want to have as their default. :)

Was about to make a post about this. Glad to see I'm not the first one.

In the meantime, could we have some sort of indication as to how WoWI's PHP script picks the image that gets thumbnailed?
I wouldn't mind designing for it to happen, while we're waiting for this feature.

I'm not certain but I think it's chosen by the mod who verifies the file.

Hah! I actually came here to make this same exact post, but here it is, the top post at the moment. What kind of coincidence is this?

But yes, I updated one of my addons just a bit ago, and with it, a new screenshot. Unfortunately, it tried to use my secondary image as the preview one, which does no good. I deleted the secondary image and left the new screenshot by itself in order to prevent it from occuring for now.

This would most certainly be a wonderful option. Just a little checkbox on the image manager "[ ] Use as preview" next to each image (though only one could be checked at a time).

You can now set the display order of the images. Thumbnails will be selected by either the lowest display order number or the earliest image date if there is no display order set.

So if you would like to choose a specific image to display for the mouse over thumbnail and other locations on our site where only 1 picture is shown make the the display order 1 and the rest of your images higher numbers. Setting the display order will also change the order your pictures are shown on the file info page for your AddOn.
