Target debuffs.
 

Is there a way I could get my targets debuffs to show up on the hud vs showing up in that drop down list fashion?

I don't believe so. It would, if at all possible, involve a hefty layout edit. But, I am sure that the aura lists aren't editable the same way that the hud area is.

Edit: Hmm, looking at the layout file : nUI_HUDSkin_PlayerTarget_Target.lua there are 2 aura sections.. One at the right side of the targets health at the top and the other... oh wait of course .. the regular target debuff icons appear at the bottom of the hud. Line 548 of that file is where it starts. They are shown as help for us as their debuffs are nice things for us. There is also a flag for player_auras automatically set to true to only show your debuffs. I am not sure how useful or intensive setting that to false would do but that would technically show you all debuffs for the current target at the bottom of the hud itself.

Yeah -- the player auras at the bottom of the HUD that Xrystal is referring to represent the HOT/DOT bar at the lower center. As implied, those are the buffs (on friendly targets) or debuffs (on hostile targets) that *you* have active on the target.

The thinking behind this is that it is of limited value to know what all of the buffs/debuffs on the target are. If you really must know, that info is provided in the big aura bars section at the top right of the dashboard. However, what you *really* need to know is what are *your* buffs/debuffs on the target and how much longer before they expire. That's what the HOT/DOT bar does.

Alright thanks; just wanted to check b/c I like watching the timer on my cheapshot and want not and the aura one does show it, but the icons are a bit small and fluctuate quite a bit as I only PvP. Thank you for the heads up.

You might find the "Simple HUD" mode to be more effective for PvP
