Massive Mod Author Burning Crusade Beta Key Give-Away and more!
 

WoWInterface, in conjunction with Blizzard Entertainment, is pleased to announce a massive Burning Crusade Beta key give-away for mod authors.

This is not a contest! Whether using US or EU client, if you are a mod author that hosts with us and you have been keeping your mods current, you are eligible for a key.



Addendum: Please note, this site does not allow the upload of mods by anyone other than the original mod author. That is a violation of the author's copyright. Anyone caught uploading someone else's mods in order to get a Beta key will be banned from the site. Also, just zipping up your interface folder and calling it a compilation doesn't actually make you an "author". New compilations that are nothing more than that will be deleted and you will not be eligible for a key.

Also, one of WoWInterface.com's Featured Artists (and moderator on our site) has been interviewed by the gentlemen over at World of Warcraft Podcast. Cladhaire is best known as the author of PerfectRaid, Clique and the current author of WatchDog. No crossed fingers necessary. It isn't a contest. If you have a current, legitimate mod on the site you are entitled to a key. Apply.

I am current and applied with the e-mail I use for my WoW account (also has bouvi in it). Do UIs count that are based off of Discord? Since Loz is working on DUB now.

Knowing my luck crossing the fingers just in case.

What if I update my out of date addon(s) right now? I could totally hijack (BORROW) a friend's WoW acc in order to update my addons. :P

Counts. If your mod is current and legitimate, you qualify.

If we have more than one WoW account registered to our e-mail address, do we have any way of controlling which account gets the beta key?

My understanding is that you will receive a key, which you can use to upgrade your account.

I think that sums up things nicely :)

anyone get their key yet? how long did it take for your email to come? i know im impatient but who isnt about getting into the beta :D

I was hoping to get the key before the weekend, but somehow i dont expect it.

But still, i will be veeery happy once it arrives, plus it gives me time to download and patch :D


( on a side note, that first 320mb patch, for enGB, i torrented it and my client says there is no complete copy out there, everybody stuck at 99,somethign%, anyone any idea ? )

I applied with my current e-mail adress (not the one from my wow account) .. is that a problem? And if so, is there any way to change it afterwards?

First batch of names (212 of them) just went in. If you've already applied, watch for your keys within the next week. If you haven't applied yet, what are you waiting for?
