Auction House Idea
 

Before placing items on the auction house I like to do a quick search as to find the items average selling price.

Typing out each name for each item is kind of a pain to say the least.

Would it be possible to create a mod that would allow you to say SHIFT+CLICK or ALT+CLICK an item in your bags to add its name to the search field of the AH.

I'm almost positive that this can be done just when it comes to writing these things I don't have much knowledge in LUA or XML.

If this has been done please send me to it as I have not found it.

I looked at KC Items .. its not what I'm looking for.

I'm not in search of a Database of items and prices. All I wanted was a small little addon that would allow me to click an item in my bag(s) and the name appears in the AH search field on the browse tab. Works basically like the way you can SHIFT+CLICK to add the Item Link in the chat window

Try right-clicking the item when you have it in your bag and the search tab of the auction window active. Not sure if there's some addon I have that does it, but when I was going to equip a weapon while looking in the action window the name appeared in the search box. :P

Seeing how thats the feature I was looking for .. yeah I already tried that :) But thanks anyway

It must be a addon that you are using.

A friend of mine is working on something for me. He got some code from someone else to use and he is now in the process of fixing it up to get a few issues (like removing the prefix to weapons/armor .. aka the "of the Bear/Wolf/Etc" stuff as that is not searchable on the AH) taken care of and then I will post it at the various UI sites (WoW Interface (here), Curse, and UI.Worldofwar) once we get a fully functioning addon. Hopefully in a day or 2.

The only mod I have that has anything to do with the AH is KC_Items but it didn't work for you so I really don't know which one it might be hehe.

But if you're getting a custom made mod soon I guess it's no big deal. :)
