All this time and that's all they've done? Sad to see development moving slower than a rock rolling uphill.

Seerah 08-30-11 07:29 PM

They've been working on 4.3. 4.2.2 was a planned bug-fix patch. It wasn't actually on the PTRs for all that long, and I believe it was catching and squashing all of the bugs (there are more undocumented changes) that took most of their time.

ye, it takes them so long to accomplish nothing.
All my friends had abandoned WOW one by one, and finally...
I gotta say that the minor update is such a mock to the whole community.
"You try flirting with the API again?!"
[no offence here]

As Seerah said, this was a planned bug-fix mini-patch, not a major content patch. They're working on the next major content patch at the same time. They just wanted to roll out the bug fixes. Give them a break already, sheesh.

I'm often one of the first who likes to call Blizzard out on stuff, but even I still prefer minor patches hit PTR to iron out bugs. Every MMO I've played, us players typically find far more ways to break stuff than the QA teams are able to (not due to incompetence so much as lack of manpower).

I think the main problem with the speed in which WoW's content is consumed is due to the fact that they are trying so hard to make things accessible to more people. Veteran players breeze through everything now (excluding heroic raid content) and become bored quite fast.

I think people are also becoming pickier with what content they choose to consume, mainly due to the fact that Cata brought no new style of content to the table. At least I am. Dailies, Heroic Raids, Random Dungeons, etc, all been done in previous expansions. TBC was the expansion I had the most fun in, mainly due to the amount of new styles of content. Even though I was a raider (loved the raid progression in TBC), I still enjoyed all the other activities: Flying Mounts, Heroic Dungeons, Dailies, Arenas, etc.

With Cata, I leveled to 85 then realized I had done everything before :p

They disable SendAddonMessage for starter account !

I was creating a PackStore ... It is over.

Does anyone know how hiding the raid frames is saved? The old CVar seems to be abandoned.

All I can find is:

Code:

CompactRaidFrameManagerDisplayFrameHiddenModeToggle.shownMode = false
But that doesn't actually save it.
