Ok so I know there is another EXTREMELY long thread going about the new updates and info and such but I figured it would be better to post bug reports elsewhere so they can be more easily kept track of by our developers.

When posting a bug please try and post your zone and what you were doing at the time so that problesm can be rooted out. Also post the client language, server location and realm for possible realm or language/locale issues. Date and time the github version was downloaded.

As an example the following which happened for me with the github version.

English, US, Medivh

Git date and time of download 11-19-14, approx 10:00pm Central

Took a flight point from Garrison to Southport, Spires of Arak. While in flight I scrolled on the minimap at the approx time that the flight crossed zones and received the following error.

Mouse over MiniMap

Everytime I mouse over the MiniMap it zooms way out then back in.

I don't get a LUA error, but every time I enter combat, the quest log disappears, even though the "Hide in combat" option is unchecked.

Would it be better to post the bugs to the Git Hub using its issues feature. That way it could be properly handled and deposed by the author and others.... :p

Something got localized that shouldn't of which is causing your error.

it's calling f:SetPoint (a, self.Frm, ar)

your debug is showing:

I could be wrong, and the people who are doing the translating would most likely know more but I don't think blizzards functions accept anything but english as parameters.

Just pushed a fix for it, only deDE was affected due to them being almost done and translated the affected part in Main.lua, you'll need to delete your saved settings so it's not trying to use the german translated tooltip locations now.

*shakes fist* I guess to really fix it I need to get myself a garrison, I hope they don't make you wait too long to finally get one.

Was sent the output of the garrison function I was trying to use... the map it was suppose to be giving wasn't the expected map, so I just tried another solution... if you can give it a try :)

Correct. Native Lua and Blizzard Lua, like most programming languages, work in English. Passing non-English parameters will cause errors.

There are a few exceptions like GetSpellInfo that accept words in any language, but they are rare. And that causes issues if you aren't careful, because passing "Mind Blast" to an Italian client will cause a nil error because that's not how the spell is, um, spelled, in Italian. When dealing with that kind of situation, it is best to think big picture.
