When they first announced this I was thinking, "How are they going to make it better?".

What a stupid question that was. I'm so stoked about this game.

The strain is almost too much.
 

Great. That's just freaking great. I lost a whole hour sauntering down memory lane on YouTube listening to the song. I listened to the game's version as well as Jonathan Coulton's and even one with him and Felicia Day at PAX08 (that was fan-freaking-tastic! I loved the audience participation in that).

I even listened to snips from an interview of Ellen McLain, the lady who played the voice for GLaDOS (even the song) because I was curious to know what her real voice sounded like.

And now I'm mightily, I say again, mightily resisting the urge to start up Portal, which is still installed on my computer. It's hard to resist running it on my 24" monitor (I haven't played it since I got the monitor for Christmas).

/sigh

Can't tell if you knew from the way you worded it, but Jonathon Coulton wrote the song initially. Valve hired him.

edit: Game looks great though! I hope they do another free weekend of Portal on Steam before they release Portal 2. It was nice to introduce some of my friends to it.

No. It was only free for a short time. I believe it costs 20 bucks

Dear Valve,

Your new game looks lovely. You will succeed in melting the gray matter of millions of gamers. Those that survive will spend the rest of their existence trying to create portals to accomplish everything. I recommend you sell crash helmets and Dramamine with the upcoming version.

Portals is one of the best games to when you cant play WoW (like tuesdays =P)... but Mafia rocks everything, cant wait to play Mafia 2
