i got this interface prob when i need to realm wow server and i cant to do it
some guy did told me to delete the interface and open the WTF and WDB map and delete all stuff inside but it didn't work. :( |
Just to verify, you have completely deleted the following folders:
..\World of Warcraft\Interface ..\World of Warcraft\WTF ..\World of Warcraft\WDB correct? If so, and you are still getting the error, I suggest you try running the Blizzard Repair Utility. Try that, let us know how it goes. |
nope :( didn't work i did instal the data and art but i got a same prob :(
|
Not that one. The Repair tool. Right below it.
|
shuld i delete the interface now?
for i did instal the wrong one now im trying to repair |
Yeah, delete the interface folder.
Run the Repair Utility one. |
nope, i did run the repair and its same think :(
i did delete interfolder too |
is any offer choise to fix it? becuase i have wow about now for a week haven't play much
becuase of this prob , payed for nothing now i can say :( |
I'm stumped then.
Anyone else have any ideas, short of a complete uninstall and reinstall of the game? |
Is there a reason not to just delete everything and start from scratch?
|
Your WoW install might have been on a bad spot on the disk. I would uninstall WoW, then run a disk scan and possibly a defragment. I don't think Windows is very good about tracking bad disk sectors though. Anybody know how to get Windows to mark bad and avoid bad spots?
Re-install WoW and see if the problem goes away. |
k im going try to scan the wow cd's, i hope its going work. (thx for help)
|
nope, about the best thing windows does with bad or corrupted sectors of a disk, is to fdisk and reformat that disk. The scandisk and defrag utilities are for the most part pretty rudimentary and useless in my opinion. I believe programs such as Diskeeper have functions to allow checking for errors though...
This is why every game that I install goes on a dedicated drive for just games... |
ok i did defrag my hard and unstal wow did try to scan wow cd but its same prob :(
i think now irs only way to get new one some how its any way to download it? |
One guess is that the patch after install didn't happen or got interrupted and now it kinda thinks you're patched but you're not.
In your WoW folder should be a pair of files named something like: WoW-1.6.0.4500-to-1.6.1-enUS-downloader.exe WoW-1.6.0.4500-to-1.6.1-enUS-patch.exe If your download went ok, try rerunning the -patch one. If your download had problems, try rerunning the -downloader one. Neither can hurt. The worst they'll do is say that you're running a wrong version (which means it thinks your client is current). However if it thinks you're the right version but you're actually not, then that will probably require a reinstall. |
my patch is allright and i did reinstall wow many times andit didn't work :(
|
I don't get this at all Neris. You've even gone to the point of reinstalling completely, and it isn't fixing it. That's just messed up.
I've no doubt that the great folks here will continue to come up with ideas for you to try, but for myself ... it's time for you to talk to Blizzard directly. Drop a note in their tech support forums or call their tech support line. Do keep an eye on this thread too, though, you never know, someone may just come up with the solution for you. And if you do get results from Blizz, let us know what the problem was? *comfort* |
ok thanks guys for trying to help me, k im going to write in blizz forum maybe they gone coming with some more ides
