Mount Drops

Is there an addon out there that is specifically created for finding mounts that are rare world drops (from rare or rare elite mobs throughout the game, not mounts from dungeons)

I've been finding the coordinates and pasting them into WoW for TomTom sing the addon Paste. But there's got to be an easier way.

For example, the addon would display a Quest Objective in the tracker and selecting it would point me to the location of the mob that has a chance to drop a mount. Well, that's just an idea.

I've tried Collectinator too, but I don't need to find companion pets that I'm missing.

Not sure ... there are not that many mounts that drop from rares. It's quite a new concept to award mounts for a "soloable" task. So with less than a handfull of mounts I'd go with the linked addon.

So...don't use that functionality? You can open the Mount Journal, click Collectinator's scan button, then filter down to World Drop or Mob Drop (the filters persist) and just never open the Pet Journal portion. There is even a Locations tab for whatever Collection you're viewing.

1. Download handynotes
2. make notes for the spawnpoints on your map
3. upload your SavedVariables here on wowinterface
4. ????
5. Profit!

I know absolutely nothing about coding or writing addons.

None of what he suggested has anything to do with coding/writing addons. Although he could have been a wee bit more specific.

Have you tried _NPCScan.Overlay? It shows common spawn point information on your worldmap.

I found a list but it hasn't been updated since August of 2013

I'll use this as reference and go from there.

There is not even one mount on this list that is a worddrop ??! Its all from Dungeons/Raids...
For example THIS is a mount dropped from a rare mob Sunhide Gronnling

HERE is a list of mount drops from Instances, Raids, and World Bosses (Patch 5.2.0)

Maybe you have not notice that your dps is scaled up in old raids since end of MoP and now you are able to solo almost all old raids even the 85 with lvl 90
