Not sure what is causing this error but i have to close my mini map whenever i'm in dungeon or raid as this error fills up my chat box to the point of all i have is errors. this was from the first 3 mins of HoV+5 it happens on all including normal runs

Your RealUI is outdated. You have 8.1 r20a and the current version is 8.1 r20b. See if that fixes things up for you.

And if you wondered, the error is because Blizzard disabled addons from getting the player's x, y coordinates in dungeons and raids.

to add to this: I installed 20b yesterday before the raid and made sure all the other addons are up to date.

this resulted in even more errors than previously. I had to /rl quite a few times between pulls on bosses and even trash to get the errors to stop. At one count it went up to 32 different errors reported and the chat is just red error lines everywhere.

I screen-shotted all the errors in order they were produced. Check out the link below. The 1st screenie you can actually see cooldowns appearing on the nameplates, and it seems like at that point in time the errors started happening.

Are you using friendly nameplates?

K4BeeTee 07-03-17 07:59 PM

Hi Gethe

So after two raids with friendly name plates turned off I can confirm the majority of errors have disappeared.

I do get the occasional one still -

x1 [ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED] AddOn 'Ace3' tried to call the protected function '<unnamed>:Hide()'.

This was generating a ton of errors for me as well. Not using friendly nameplates seemed to mostly fix it. This is with 20b.
