Zygor Guides - Error message when logging into wow
 

I get this error every time I log in to wow Iv been working with zygor and they said for me to disable all add ons tie the error went away. And I did not get the error when carbonite was disabled.
So i diabled one module at a time until I found the two modules that produced the error and they are items, and quests these two modules is causing the error

Please report it to Zygor (incompatibilty with ours addon they have to fix it)!

Not knowing how these errors work I'm going to say this anyway: Why is Zygor Guids listed first in the error? Sure, Carbonite is listed but Zygor is listed first. BUT, I don't know if it makes any difference. Sorry.

I don't understand that ether as I said in my original post that I disabled all my add ons and I did not get the error until I enabled Carbonite. I worked a week with zygor and every thing I did pointed to carbonite as to the cause of the error

It's Zygor's module for working with Carbonite (ZygorGuidesViewer\Waypoints.lua at line 150+) that's the problem, they haven't updated it probably since WoW v4 and the changes in WoW v6 make it incompatible. Until they update it Zygor's won't work, I have written to them (including a partial fix for the problem) and still haven't even gotten a response ...

P.S. Considering I'm a paying customer that's very irresponsible of them, during Cata & MoP they usually responded with fixes quite fast, but since they started making other guides it seems there focus have moved away from WoW and right now they won't fix a problem even if you provide the fix for them...

After what you said i'm considering getting rid of zygor

Don't understand me wrong, there product isn't so bad but the support right now is very bad and they need to rewrite at least some parts of the addon before I can consider recommending them again. You might consider trying WoWPro for the time being (it's free and the author's seems to be working to fix Carbonite incompatibility) tough I haven't used it in a while so I don't know how good there guides are right now. Will probably replace Zygor with WoWPro to check them once I have some free time to play unless there is a miracle and Zygor fixes there code before that.

You won't see errors unless you are using Carbonite as Zygor's waypoint arrow?

@stones, You could ask Zygor to take a look at ZygorGuidesViewer\Waypoints.lua and fix the CreateCarboniteWaypointMXY function or at lest replace line 174 with: local mid=mapid

That way the guide will at least be partially useful and won't trow so many errors. Let's hope he won't ignore you too.

P.S. You can do the same with you're copy of the file, but do make a backup copy just in case. Mine have all of it's libraries updated and some other fixes so this might not be the only thing that needs fixing.

I have zygor's way point arrow disabled and since then error on to of error

for now im taking zygor off my try again later on

If you want to use Zygor you're only option (until they fix it) is to change the line in question yourself like I do.
