API version used in Classic

Hi all,

Just wondering which version of API is being used for classic.

Is it a modified version of modern (BfA) API? Or is it an enhanced/improved version of vanilla API?

I also heard someone saying that it would be based on 7.3.5

Does anyone know the exact answer to this?

Thank you!

Modified BfA.

The Blizzcon preview was a 7.x derivative.

So, they have updated from 7.x to modern (modified) BfA since Blizzcon?

Sweet.

Thanks for the info!!

Is the fork for the Classic API seperate from now on or will changes implemented in both?

It'll be separate, they didn't think it's worth the effort to keep api parity. Maybe only for important bugs and Battle.net friends/chat

Is there any online documentation of the Classic API?

I have been using Gethe's github version of the Classic API files.
