ZAM teams up with Child's Play to raise money for sick children

The Child's Play Foundation has partnered with ZAM and gamerDNA to help children this holiday season. We are looking for donations to help the people in need.

You can help by donating money directly or by completing a short quiz. Upon the completion of the quiz, you get a signature. This signature can be used to spread the word of this wonderful charity. (See my sig!!)

You can do the quiz and donate money here.

You can also learn about this wonderful charity here.

Since 2003, over 100,000 gamers worldwide have banded together through Child’s Play, a community based charity grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Over 3.5 million dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in children’s hospitals across North America and the world have been collected since our inception.

This year, we have continued expanding across the country and the globe. With around 60 partner hospitals and more arriving every month, you can be sure to find one from the map above that needs your help! You can choose to purchase requested items from their online retailer wish lists, or make a cash donation that helps out Child’s Play hospitals everywhere. Any items purchased through Amazon will be shipped directly to your hospital of choice, so please be sure to select their shipping address rather than your own.

When gamers give back, it makes a difference!

I ran across gamerDNA last night via Elitist Jerks, and took the quizzes. Then I check WoWI this morning and find the Child's Play announcement. Good job on the part of both GameDNA and Zam.

I'm not entirely sure I agree with its results, but I'm always up for charity :)

EDIT: I do agree with the 0% 70s though

Hey, mine reflects me quite well. My gamer roots are deep in the Atari 2600 and Nintendo NES systems.

I started in my brother-in-law's arcade. Centipede and Asteroids were my favorites. I remember Pizza Hut had Pac Man and Mrs. Pac Man sit down style arcade units and every time time we went to Pizza Hut, I'd keep everyone waiting to go home so I could finish out my game. After that I moved on to arcade games for the computer on my Commodore 64 and then Atari... Sega Genesis was awesome in it's birth. Bleh, I'm rambling... but those were the days. :D

Hopefully these kids will be able to have these same kinds of memories...

Kids nowadays only care about "omg loot at those 1337 graphix!!!!!!!"
I still play on a SNES emulator every day, because my real SNES controller broke down :P

One more towards the display count :P

Now lets beat EJ on donations :D

Wow I feel dated now. Not sure about some of the results (all of the ages have affected me) but cool nonetheless. :)

Probably late but better late than never. Might as well join the bandwagon.
