Bibmod Scaling Problem
I'm having an issue with the scaling feature not sticking. Whenever I alt-tab out of the game and come back all the scaling that I've done is changed back to the original size. This also happens if I log out of that character and then log back in. A friend of mine confirmed to me that he does *not* have this problem so I figured some addon I had was conflicting. I uninstalled all other addons and tried bibmod alone. Also tried turning off scaling in the default UI but that didn't help. Nothing I've tried has helped. Any suggestions?

Hi Altinak, this problem has been around for a while. It used to be that things went back to their original size, and their positions were scaled too, often sending them offscreen, but I made a change a while back that made it so things would at least keep position in that situation (and when you use the game's built-in UI scaler). The problem occurs when you alt-tab, and WoW is running in a different resolution from Windows. To fix it, either change the Windows resolution to match WoW, or run WoW in window mode (or just don't scale stuff).

Thank you so much for your response! I experimented today and had set WoW to run in windowed mode (maximized) and this fixed the scaling issue. I checked my settings after reading your post and realized that the refresh rate in WoW was not the same as my Windows refresh rate although the resolution was the same. I adjusted my WoW refresh rate to match Windows and the scaling is now working fine. I could have lived without the scaling but I think it is a very nice feature. Thanks again!

That client bug was supposed to be fixed in 1.7 :( On the bright side it's a known bug that's on Blizzard's list.
Just tested to confirm and it wasn't fixed. |
