Warning to Mac Minion Users
On Novemeber 3, 2009, Java 5.0 announced its end of service life. I have tried to continue to support Macintosh computers, of which many were limited to Java 5, for as long as I could.
Unfortunately, because of Sun's processes, I can no longer continue to support Java 5.0. The next release of Minion (which is coming somewhat soon) will require Java 6. I apologize if this causes any inconvenience for anyone. I'm not sure if Apple still has yet to release a Java 6 JRE, but take note that any issues that may arise for Macintosh users I will still do my best to resolve, though if you are running on Java 5 you may have some initial issues while the incompatibilities are worked out. Regards, |
Please note that this only affects Mac users with PPC or 32 bit systems.
I have found a slight workaround for my issue so I will do everything I can to continue supporting Macintosh, however I can't guarantee that it will go as smoothly as the other OSes. Lack of documentation and clinging onto a now end-of-life product by Apple is making my job difficult. |
