The trick with dominos is just to play with the size, padding and spacing a bit.
Trick with SBF is I use a scale of 1.0 on every bar, but I manually enter a icon size. The difference between 30 and 31 can be quite big for borders. And play with the x and y spacing too.

oh edit, since I've only awnsered a few things xD

The runmod is textyRunes with ofcourse the same font as my unit frames and indeed just placed on top of my UF so it looks as if it's just another text string.

It's all years of fiddling to make it work.

You did not answer me though. Put my unitframes on hold. I need to know what kind of font and size you are using.

And also, what is this bloom effect everyone is talking about?

The "bloom" are some modified directx dll's that tell your graphics driver to "overclock" the lightning effects and darken the environment. It's basically like the glow effect you can activate in WoW's graphic settings, but on crack.

Yes, exactly :P on crack :O

Here is a screeny with Led ++ settings for the bloom.

I can't seem to find a usable download for the HDR files anymore. Anyone got a working download for them?

[removed 3rd party site download link]

WaldoJeffers 06-05-10 01:04 AM

Hey so what exactly do these HDR files do again? I think I get the gist of it a little, but I'd never actually heard about it till just now.

sacrife 06-05-10 01:46 AM

Apparently they modify some directx files for your graphic card and alters the information sent to wow from from your card.

Basically it just shows you a bloomed version of everything in wow.

Cool thanks for the info, sounds good. Any pics? A brief google search didn't yield a great deal of results.

Minerv 06-05-10 02:10 AM

Here's a vid. Pic's you got on the previous 2 pages :P

Thanks Minerv :) I wonder if it makes your computer or frame rates lag more?

It lagged mine by about 15 fps, but I'm running on a fairly low end system. Keep in mind it not only creates the highlights on character and environment, it also makes ui elements such as the map considerably brighter. My carb map was so bright I couldn't see any details.

Imo the 2 downloads you can find on mmo-champion with the files in it aren't good. You have to manually fiddle a bit with some values so it looks better and less FLASHY imo.

You could go nuts like another guy did and set the values so that your WoW is in black and white, like the good old films.

sacrife 06-05-10 11:06 AM

After I searched the forums I found out that for wow (even though led's settings) are made for wow
Set "BloomAllowOversaturation" in the ini file to 0. It should help while still looking quite awesome :)

Haleth 06-05-10 12:14 PM

Slight hijack here, but has anything similar ever been done for Mac?

Taryble 06-05-10 12:29 PM

Not really, Haleth. DirectX on Windows allows games to modify DirectX on a per-game setting with a custom dx9d.dll file. As far as I know, OpenGL doesn't allow this kind of modular customization, and that's what's used in Macs and Linux.

The downloads on the MMO Champion Forums are down or don't exist no more. I had to do quite a bit of searching to find the one I got.

Also, messing around with the values, like Led++ said, helps immensily, as I didn't like running it on default either :P

Dawn 06-05-10 03:21 PM

I had a running version, but it got lost when I had to set up my OS, again. The default settings where "not so awesome". Need to find the download again ...

Would you mind to copy&paste your settings here for others to use Led++ ? :)

Attachment below has default backup of the DLL files, as well as the Bloom DLL and Led++ Enbseries settings. Type Shift+F12 ingame to turn on and off.

Edit for new link, the old one was deleted due to inactivity but that makes no sense considering I just uploaded it yesterday.... But yeah :P

Link above has default backup of the DLL files, as well as the Bloom DLL and Led++ Enbseries settings.

It is a bit of a big bloom effect still, but its extremely minimal bloom compared to the default bloom settings lol

Take a screeny! I want to see how yours looks :)

(Again to anyone who uses link - If you don't have a good computer or more, it might make your computer crash or it might make you lag alot)

Also, Shift+F12 turns it on and off ingame.
