Display each item's gear level on character screen
 

I'd like to see the iLevel number of each piece of gear displayed overlaid on its icon in the character screen.

The idea is that I'd see at a glance what my lowest gear is so that I could make appropriate choices for gearing up. Maybe even highlight the lowest/highest items. It's so exhausting and tedious to mouse over each item individually. :cool:

Does such an addon exist? Anyone else think this would be useful?

A couple addons that may start you in the direction you want to go :

kibs-item-level - this one does have some reports of issues, I'm not sure if its sill being maintained.

easy-ilvl I use and it works fine for me atm.

Personally I use Ilvlr. It shows not only item level next to gear slots, but colors them depending on their level compared to other items, as well as shows missing Enchants and Gems by coloring letters E and G red (green if enchanted and gemmed).

I use http://www.wowinterface.com/download...Indicator.html ... not sure if that will show right. It's not that detailed, it puts a token on the items that are lower than average. Easy, at a glance.

That's built right in to ElvUI, and even shows on icons in bags.

I ended up going with iLvlr. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks to all who replied.
