Resting/Combat icons
 

I don't think it qualifies as an addon request, but is there a way (I'm pretty sure there is, I just don't know how to) to change the game's icons for resting/combat status? I know you can put textures in a "Buttons" folder in Interface, I was wondering if something similar could be done for the combat/resting icons.

It's as simple. Just edit the default icons and put them into the proper interface folder. You can download blizzards addon creation kit (or however it's named again) to get all of the default textures, to find the right ones.

Another solution would be to create an addon that replaces the default icons with your own.
