Autocomplete Quest: Invisible Quest Window
i've had this issue ever since i've had Carbonite these few months its just now i'm tired of dying to it or it causes complications with gameplay. but what's been going on is whenever i have auto complete quests enabled, after turning in a quest it auto turns it in, but i get this blank quest window with a book in the corner and a close button. the window is not click through so if i don't notice it open, anything in that area does not get clicked and i am unable to turn my camera view if i click that area. i have to click the close button or press esc for it to go away. i have tried this both with only carbonite running and with all my other addons running and the same thing happens.
i looked all through the forums to see if anyone else was having the same problem and i only found one but it was unanswered. it seems like a bug to me because i'm pretty sure carbonite isnt suppose to operate that way. here's a screenshot of what is showing the red box on the right side of the screen: pls help if possible. thx. |
This was a bug when using the auto complete option for quests for a while. I don't remember if there was an addon conflict that caused it or not, but the upshot was that the only way to resolve it was to not use the auto complete option for quests.

Same problem
Same problem with the invisible quest log and some map errors. Tried everything including what you said above but nothing is fixing it. My error log is as follows. (edit Just found out its only happening on certain characters)

Try using Carbonite as the only enabled addon on the characters you are getting errors on. There is a possibility of an addon conflicting with Carbonite, and that is the only way to tell if that is what is causing the error.
If the error continues with Carbonite as the only enabled addon, then go to your "Path to your WoW folder\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SavedVariables\" folder and rename or delete the "Carbonite.lua" and "Carbonite.lua.bak" files. Doing this will completely reset Carbonite back to default settings, and it will look and act as if you have just installed it on all of your characters. This is because those files contain all of Carbonites set up information for all of your characters, both global settings and per-character settings. It is entirely possible that those files have become corrupted and that is the only way to fix it. |
